How about a couple of new reference threads?

How about one for watches?? Maybe a good source of pics for peeps who are wanting to compare a couple and not have to go trawling round lots of different retailers, would save time??

I support the idea on watches.
I'm a watch freak!

I would like strict photos only and a separate thread on chatting/ comments.
Maybe we can include the model, the approx price we purchase then and the country which we purchase it? This way, we would know roughly where to get a good deal.

Can we do no chatting?? I love looking through threads not having to read!

I know we have an engagement ring thread now... but I would love one with pics and specs only. That would be such a great resource!

oh! Should we allow chatting in the reference threads? Or should I be a hard a$$ like I am in Chanel about it being strictly photos only?

I'd keep it to pics only,as it might start getting difficult to sort through lots of chat to find pics, and it will be hard to send someone onto the thread to search for something if theres loads of chat on it too.

Peeps could start a chat thread about the sticky in the main forum page etc,as everyone does love chatting about each others things, and it really works on the Mulberry forum...............................

Also what about a thread to cover the top-enders such as Cartier,Tiffany,Bulgari,VCA,Leon Mege, etc so we don't have loads of threads but everything can have a place and a mention??

Also as Risingsun said, how about one for pearls, could put unusual colored stones such as Alexandrite,Tsavorite garnet etc,etc on it too?

Sun if you want info on pearls,I have quite a lot of info from my FGA tutorials??xxxxx

Great Idea! Especially for luxury brand like Cartier etc, that normally you'd have to email everytime you want a price or information because they don't sell/show the price on their websites. I think photos and information works best without chatting IMO for reference threads.

Ah yes! Watches, David Yurman, Tiffany & Co, rings (just in general), bracelets, necklaces...

Perhaps even divided further by diamonds, rubies, sapphires, white gold, yellow gold, platinum, sterling silver? That might be too much work haha. *shrug*

Thanks!

woohoo! I wasn't sure how everyone felt about my photo only reference threads, glad they work!!!
I like having a place to just view photos and specs as well w/o having to wade through people shooting the breeze.
I'll start in a bit!:D
Thank you!:winkiss:

Chaz~I bought a strand of pearls a number of years ago and I can tell now that they are not up to standards. Any info you have would be much appreciated. As much as I might covet Mikimoto, that is not on the horizon, so I will need to learn how to make better choices!

Depends what you need to know sweetness,I can cover from formation and on if you want. When it gets up to the 'big boys' you're right its Mikimoto, once described to me by the rep as having 'lustre like stardust and as silky feeling as a new born babe' awww, still makes me smile that, was said by a 6' guy!! And he went all wistful when he said it!!! THAT is loving what you do!!!

But you can score great pearls, depends on what you want to compromise on,shape, size, color lustre, they have a grading system not dissimilar to diamonds. So you can make informed choices and remain in control of the quality you want to pay for.
