hot stamping my vintage items

can i just walk into any LV boutique and ask for them to hot stamp my stuff? (for example my 10 year old key holder bought abroad)

do i have to show proof of purchase or anything?

My experience is that you don't have to show proof of purchase. They will however check for authenticity before touching the piece.

I just had a pre loved agenda stamped. He seemed happy to do it until I told him it was second hand and then he hesitate and told me it's the person hot stamping who will make the decision and if it gets messed up they won't replace it.

I just got my preloved agenda hotstamped as well. It's one of the LE animation agenda pms that came out in 2006. They didnt ask me for proof of purchase and just went on to ask me how i would like the hotstamp to look like
