Hot sauce ate shine on Pallas BB. Anything to be done?

I was eating Street food at a festival and dripped a small drop of hot sauce on my Pallas BB. I didn't notice for a few minutes. When I did I wiped it off with a baby wipe. It had already eaten the finish and made it crackle. I couldn't believe it! Thankfully it's a tiny drop, but it's so annoying! Is there anything to do? It's crackly and the shine is gone. It's a tiny matte spot on the front of my bag now.

WOW!! I don't think anything can fix the canvas at this point. What's crazy is that we actually ingest this crap and it can eat the finish off of a LV bag?!?

Hahaha! I had the exact same thought when it happened!

Clear shoe polish, the wax kind in a canister. It will restore the shine back onto the canvas.

You are welcome. If after you polish the spot and it turns out shinier than the surrounding canvas, just buff it with a wet towel for awhile. That will even out the shine to match the surrounding area.
