I do the same - Samorga insert with a custom size base shaper from Jenny Krafts. I like to preserve the shape of my bags so don’t put anything in the back pocket thicker than a credit card. Someone was asking about an iPad Air? I think I could put an iPad Mini in my 25 vertically and hold it with the handles unfolded but I wouldn’t due to the weight. If you don’t care about the bag getting more slouchy over time, then it would fit an iPad mini.
Thanks for sharing!

thanks for sharing! im very torn between 25 and 31. thinking which size I should get. :confused1:

for what it’s worth I really like my 31. I don’t think it’s too heavy, it’s not overly large, especially when folded down versus as a tote. I don’t wear mine as a tote. I do like how the shoulder strap can be adjusted to be both a longer/maybe crossbody length or a true shoulder bag.

i usually err towards the larger size of a bag if possible. 6cm isn’t even much of a difference, just about 2.5 inches if my conversion memory serves me right. That 2.5 inches could be the difference to fit in an ipad, agenda or what not versus having to convert it to a tote or using another bag.

Totally agree re: 31. I love the size - it's smaller than my usual 35 bags but still holds plenty and is good all-round bag for weekends and travel too.
I briefly had the old mini size but it was too small for even my weekend kit (the phone had to go inside leaving basically no room for anything else. I might pick up a 25 if I luck into a color I love (and the phone works with my other stuff) but to me the 31 is a near-perfect size.

Im so tempted to get the 31 now. Just curious, is 31 bag alone quite heavy?

I personally don’t think so, but I’m pretty strong:giggle: since i do a lot of physical labor around the house and stuff for my mom. I haven’t used my Halzan for a bit but I remember I had my key case, wallet (both Prada Saffiano leather), calvi, and Vera Bradley little toiletry bag with my personal/Covid items, and a phone charger in it last time I used the bag and I didn’t think it was too bad. I’ve never put anything too crazy in it though and do not have an insert for it as the one I originally ordered didn’t fit right, so am waiting on one from White Fox. I also wear most bags crossbody if at all possible which helps with the weight.

I think any bag can get heavy if you’re carrying it long enough though, even Prada nylon, depending on what you put in it! I had my smallish Prada nylon backpack in NYC with me stuffed with a travel umbrella, a cashmere beanie hat, a small power bank, my personal items in a Vera Bradley cotton case, AirPods, and my aforementioned wallet and even that got heavy after a while walking!

It’s not a light bag though! It’s clearly made of good quality leather that is nice and thick:love:

I just got my Halzan 25 two days ago - it is in etoupe, clemence, GHW. I am a big Halzan fan - in fact, my first H bag crush was a Halzan and one of my early H bag purchases was a Halzan 31 in noir PHW. I had passed it on to my sister since but I still have two - one in H31, bleu pale/bleu glacier, PHW and now this H25. I find the H25 surprisingly roomy - I can fit my water bottle and kindle, among other things. And I think the H25 is small enough to be a nice clutch (the H31 is too big for one, I think). I like to carry my Halzans top-handle - hence the look in the photo! I already told my SD to order more H25 for me in different colours! TBH, I prefer my Halzans over my Kellys - gasp!

FWIW I am surprised how much I love and use my Halzan 25 in Noir Clemence. A year in, it's my most used bag and imo opinion holds a lot! It's light and super convenient. I also use a 7rp Kelly 25 insert or a 7rp Sellier Kelly 25 Insert. Those have worked great for me. I typically put a remix duo card holder, a Kelly compact wallet, glasses, lip balm, snacks wallet in there and find it holds most of my daily carry items. Hope that helps.

Another thing I’m looking into is a purse insert for it? I am thinking Samorga but would definitely love any feedback from those who use it. Would an insert significantly reduce the amount of spaces inside the bag? And would an insert help the bag to hold its shape overtime?
And excuse my messy bed and a not too great pic! I don’t have much time to play around with it during workdays with my busy schedule but I’ll definitely share more nicer pics when the weekend comes!

If you do a search on this thread you'll be able to find suggestions on inserts for the Halzan 25. Alternatively, there's a thread specifically for bag inserts here. :flowers:

Hi fellow Halzan-fans!
I own two Halzan 31s, and I am dreaming of just ONE more  I just missed out of one on eBay, and now I am ready to buy a new one in the Hermes Store. I am going to Montpellier next week and later this months to Brussels, so I will be able to go to quite a few European stores (well, compared to my current situation in Northern Europe).
My question to you is, is it your feeling that it will be possible to get a Halzan 31 (in white, ie Crae or Nata)? What have you seen in your stores? Do I need to go to Paris (the sacrifices I must bear for bags).
(In the offer thread there is rarely mention of Halzans, but maybe people only find BKC interesting to mention - however, they have not captured my favor, I prefer my under the radar bags:angel:)

I can't comment on European stock but you are correct that Halzans don't get the attention of BKC or even Bolide. I was in FSH not long after it initially came out and they had them prominently displayed in many colors. It didn't seem to be drawing a lot of buyers - I was intrigued but more focused on buying a Kelly. It kept bugging me but leaving from CDG I found one in the airport boutique and snapped it up. I really fell in love with the style.

Good luck! And your color choices are gorgeous - I am jealous because I simply cannot do light colors, as much as I would love to be able.

Thank you! Yes, I will look in the airports as well - but I have only one hour in CDG, so I better concentrate on catching the connecting flight. On my way home through Shiphol, Amsterdam, I may be more lucky….
The Halzan is so practical, easy to use and downright cool :hbeat:
