Honore 404 durability

Hi all

I'm considering buying Honore 404 but noticed that it's split cowhide. I'm wondering whether any of our LC fans here can tell me how durable is it? How long can it last?

I know the Honoré leather looks really fragile but it's far from it. The leather is the same as on the Roseau series. I've seen a 3-yr old Roseau that's been in daily use, no babying and getting stuffed to the gills - almost no wear. My Roseau has been through wind, rain and snow and no signs of wear yet. The hardware is also very durable.

I have just bought the Honore404 in White. It's now with a specialist for coating. Hopefully it will be durable!

Congrats on your purchase! :smile: Getting extra protection for a white bag sounds very smart. Might do that myself if I can ever manage to muster the courage to buy a white bag!
