I think Holly was a gold digger a delusional one at that. In fact i recall a interview Hef did after the first or second season and he was asked when did he know he know he loved Holly, and he said something to the effect of after watching the first season, he never realized how much work Holly did to make him happy. At that point they've been together for about 4-5years and he didn't love her until after the first season?!? Hef had no interest in getting married or having kids with her. Those are normal things for her to want but she can't really be hurt by it because he made his intentions clear. She finally bounced when she couldn't get pregnant through ivf. It's the same kind of delusional thinking when a woman wants to get pregnant to save her marriage, that just doesn't work. I'm sure if her ivf treatments worked she'd still be there. She wanted to get pregnant for her payout she'll be tied to playboy forever with that golden ticket. She was also trying to weasel her way into the company as well and the real employees had to put up with her nonsense because she was the bosses GF. She'd probably be fighting his daughter for control of the conpany if she had his kid. I also think him getting engaged so soon after they split was a huge thorn in her side. She was probably thinking i put in 7 years of work into that guy and this is the thanks i get. I think she several different reasons to be motivated to do the book. First is obviously financial gains, second keeping herself in the spotlight, third help minimize the impact her former lifestyle will have on her kids the info is out there better it comes from her than a 3rd party, and lastly to let people know living at the mansion wasn't all kittens and sunshine like they play it off to be. Ex girlfriends have written about what goes on there so I don't think there will be anything all that shocking in the book, it's just more relevant because the show wasn't that long ago so it's fairly current info in that respect.

+1, she needs to realize that she lived in the mansion, with an "allowance" and free surgery, in exchange for sex. If it quacks like a duck......

Wonder where Bridget is?

" in early January 2009, it was reported that Marquardt had moved out of the Playboy Mansion to "become her own person."[14]

In late 2008, Marquardt began dating director Nicholas Carpenter, son of original Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter.[15] They live together in a house Marquardt purchased in Sherman Oaks.[16] As seen on various episodes of The Girls Next Door, Marquardt has a Pekingese dog named Wednesday, or "Winnie",[17] and a black Persian cat named Gizmo.[18]" - wikipedia

^That's what I'm thinking. I was thinking that after Bridget, Holly, & Kendra all left (because all of them, except for Bridget wrote tell all books, especially a few other bunnies.) that he now probably has the new girls sign something where they cannot write a tell all book.

I'm not defending Holly, but I actually thought her book was a pretty good read. It was much more well written than I thought it would be. (A lot more well written then Kendra's book, and Izabella's book had grammar mistakes everywhere.) I thought it was a very honest account of the things that happened, it feel very genuine to me. She also admits that she only started moving into the mansion for money and to jump start her acting career/not having a place to go to, so I do not think she is lying about the majority of the things in her book.....
I feel like she is actually smart now. (I had originally thought that she had no brains.) She played a bigger part in business than I thought she would, coming up with jewelry designs for the brand and also having a real job at the Playboy offices working as an intern. Also, I cannot believe that the girls didn't get paid for the first season of The Girls Next Door...While I don't doubt that the reason they are all there is for money and that they've been given enough with allowances and free beauty treatments, this book really makes you realize that a lot of the things that went down at that place were not okay...not even legally decent.

I don't think she's playing the victim. I think she's saying she did what she did and now she regrets it. She can write about the things that Hefner did wrong at the same time.

I was mostly talking about Kendra, who came from a bad background. Hefner obviously took advantage of these girls, by giving them drugs, a place to stay, money to buy things, so he probably felt justified treating them however he wanted. I don't think that's right.

So if I have children, for example, and I'm paying for a roof over their head, buying them foods, clothes, etc., does that give me free reign to treat them however I want? I don't think so. I'm the one who made that choice, I decided to have those children and support them, and I still have the responsibility to act like a decent human being. If not, then I'm at fault. I can't pull the whole "Well I pay for everything for you" card. Not acceptable IMO.

Hefner still had responsibility to act like a decent person, despite the fact that he was supporting them financially.

Kendra was doing drugs waay before Hef. He just made drugs more available but what is to be expected for a sex and party house? She didn't move into a nunnery.

Honey, it's called a ghost writer. Holly may just had a better ghost writer then Kendra. Kendra also had a ghost writer.

99% of reality show cast do not get paid the first season. My coworker just shot a reality and did not get paid. If the show is a hit a gets a second season, then you get paid.
