She looks incredible and more to the point really healthy, she seems to have got in good shape the right way and she took her time in doing so! Unlike some celebs who drop 3 dress sizes in a matter of weeks in an unrealistic type of way.

This exactly. It took her months & months & months to get back to this post pregnancy which made me so happy to see a celeb be realistic and goal oriented as opposed to quick tricks like Kim K.

Hil's body is a bit too boxy for me personally, but she looks amazing for her shape. I'm tall (5'9) and have long limbs that are all willowy so if I was built like Hilary I would look sorta silly, but she can really pull off the more athletic body shape well.

Someone mentioned Jessica Simpson's shape in this thread and because Jess is SO muscular and cut I think she actually looks a lot less feminine and streamlined than Hilary does.

I think her body is her body and she has made the most of her natural shape. I think she is looking fabulous.

I agree.

Well done, Hil!
Well said! Hilary Duff is beautiful just the way she is. She shouldn't have to go to unnatural means to change herself into a body shape that's unnatural for her.

Women come in all shapes and sizes, and it's not right to arbitrarily declare certain healthy body shapes as "too manly". This is why a lot of women are afraid to exercise at all- because they're terrified of gaining muscle and being labeled as manly!

No doubt she looks fit and toned. It's just strange that Jessica and Hilary didn't seem to have the boxy shape until getting pregnant and then losing the weight.

Her body may have changed post baby and I think she's learning to be at peace with her body. I know when she got super thin back in the day she said she was going to extremes to stay that thin and it obviously wasn't her natural shape. This seems like her working her diet/exercise and maximizing her natural curves.

They might not have been.

Things shift after pregnancy...and just age, actually. But, they look they are carrying very little body fat, that can make one look boxy...but the nice trade off is they can actually eat and maintain. They both strike me as the type that enjoy a good meal :p.

ETA:Bwahaha! I take too long to type everyone said basically the same thing ;)

Her shoulders and upper arms are never small. I think she looks amazing, I love that we're all built different and she's not trying to fit the commercial beauty.

This!

If more woman concentrated on what was best for themselves and being their own best selves, concentrating on being healthy and strong, instead of what the world tells us is 'beautiful'....we would all be a lot better off.

That might be it. This pic is from 2011 from earlier in this thread. She looks to be carrying more body fat here, but her body looks more balanced with more of a waist:

I remember seeing an interview with her and two other actresses YEARS ago, and they were talking about what they tried to emphasize / de-emphasize in their bodies, and Hilary said that she had broad shoulders and a short neck, so she wore a lot of scarves.
