Hilary Duff first introduced her son Luca Cruz Comrie to the world via Twitter with a snap of his feet.
And 12 months on little Luca was seen showing off his walking skills as he enjoyed a shopping trip with his mother on Thursday.
Hitting the stores in Beverly Hills, Hilary, 25, was forced to put the one-year-old down as he kicked up a little fuss about being carried.
On Wednesday, Hilary threw Luca his very first birthday party and made sure to invite all her Twitter followers along to the soiree.
The former Disney star tweeted: 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCA CRUZ!!!!!! Your [sic]1 big boy!!!!!'
Duff then gave her fans a glimpse of their shenanigans in the form of an adorable snap of Luca chasing bubbles with the family's dog.
The caption which accompanied the image read: 'Gettin this party started early! #birthday #boy'

I love Hilary Duff's style... its so laid back and casual... and I like the fact that she isn't stick thin. She's got curves!
I bet she's burning up with that scarf on..lol. I don't understand that trend of wearing them in warm weather...
I saw an interview with her once where she said she wears a lot of scarves to hide her broad shoulders.
The weather here is mild enough that a light scarf isn't a big deal. I wear them all the time.
