DUFF TAKES ON BONNIE & CLYDE REMAKE
About a year ago, Hilary Duff posed for Allure magazine dressed like Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde. Who knew that would be a hint? Apparently Duff is now preparing to work on The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, another movie about the famed gangsters that will presumably feature Duff in the female title role.
This week’s Production Weekly says that production will begin in April in the Deep South, with Tonya S. Holly (When I Find the Ocean) directing Duff, Kevin Zegers, Natalie Canerday and Rance Howard. The plot description offers up nothing but the details of Bonnie and Clyde’s lives, but how much do you want to bet this won’t be trying to approximate the groundbreaking filmmaking that the original Bonnie and Clyde represented back in 1967?

Both Warren Beaty and Faye Dunaway got wind of the remake of the classic movie Bonnie and Clyde (which they starred in some 40 years ago), and they are NOT happy about it.
But, the harshest critique came from Faye when she learned Hilary Duff would be playing Bonnie.
''Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?''
OUCH. Poor Hilary, hopefully her confidence won't be too shaken after hearing that.
Was Faye out of line in being so harsh, or is she right to try and protect one of the biggest movies of it's time (earning 10 Oscar nominations)?

I have to say that casting Hilary as the lead actress in Bonnie & Clyde was risky, but good luck to her.
True, but I think she proved her acting ability and diversity in War Inc.
Hopefully she does an amazing job, that will show Faye hehe.

Hilary insulted Faye right back!! She basically said that her fans don't even know who Faye is and that she would also be mean if she "looked like liked that."

uh oh... i wish hilary had played it cool, it would've totally given her the upperhand. especially if she gave a great performance
ITA!! If she would have just played it cool then, Faye would have been the one left with egg on her face. If Hilary does end up bombing the movie, she prove Faye right, and that comment will follow her for quite sometime.
ITA 2. But sometimes you get so overwhelmed with others peoples comments and dont think twice before you open your mouth, just to regret it later. I think this happened to Hillary since she isn't usually like this.
