Hermes is definitely tracking her as they KNEW she sold the bag without even receiving it from Hermes. The company knew that the bag was for sale without Mel even taking possession of it. WoWWW! I find this so interesting! I work on Wall Street - so in fact she "short sold" Hermes - and I am saying this again from a previous conversation. She is shorting the company's stock (brand). This brand does not PLAY. I love the brand and the products - all catagories. H must have been very angry that Mel had very popular videos at H's expense - they finally said "shut her down". AND they took steps to shut down her husband as well and ALL of their credit cards to purchase the items. They used technology to track her cards! I really feel that CHANEL will follow suit and ban her as well!
Did she short the bag or the stock?

I am confused how an individual be powerful enough to short H stock which is famously illiquid and expensive.

Shorting the bag (ie sell the bag to a confirmed buyer before even possessing the bag at higher price, pocketing the difference) makes more sense but then, if this is 'shorting the brand', so is a gazillion other resellers.

I’m surprised she was still able to buy anything from them after her previous fiasco.
Seriously.
She posts an hour-long video last spring that she is done with Hermes and says lots of unflattering things. Meanwhile it appears that a sales associate felt threatened by her?!
Nonetheless, she continues buying and making videos about Hermes.
THEN six months after her rant, she gets a "gentle reminder" letter warning her not to resell Hermes items.
She doesn't stop reselling, and in fact is offering bags for sale that she hasn't even picked up (nor apparently yet paid for).
Why is she at all surprised to get a ban, ten months after she was warned to stop?

Lots of resellers are NOT posting videos such as Hermes Made Me Cry and Hermes Made Me Cry Again for over 615k views on the original video - who knows what the tally will be on the newest video, not counting the reaction videos that are being made for both videos - she is shorting the Hermes brand - and I am having a bit of fun with "shorting" I am aware of the stock price - chillax.

I am aware. You work at wall street :flowers:

I'm surprised she continued to want to buy H. That experience should've turned her off based on her reaction and video back then.
Not only that, after the original debacle she still tried a different SA and store, then her country’s Hermes website, then even the USA Hermes website all under both her name and then her husband’s name desperately trying to buy more coveted non quota bags. “Done with Hermes” except she ends the video by saying she still isn’t boycotting Hermes because she loves the bags too much and will continue to buy them. But she won’t give Hermes Australia anymore business! I don’t think she understands what the letter said.

I am wondering if they (Hermes) decided to specificly target Purseonfleek because she publicly airs her dealings with H. There is also the possibility that she has not disclosed everything in her videos and there might be more things that has occured that prompted these actions from H. She agreed to the terms of conditions when she bought the items from H. After the first letter about the lipstick, then getting banned from H Sydney, she still proceeded to sell the

Exactly my thought...If she thinks it's okay to present her self the way she is in her YouTube videos, I can only imagine what it's like for the SA/SM to interact with her in person. She claimed to be the nicest person ever and people gravitate toward her at the boutiques, but she also come across as very self unaware so who knows. With that said, she made herself an easy target for H because she's that kid who would steal cookies from the cookies jar and then leaving crumbs all over her clothes and on the counter. She got called out for reselling her H items on eBay before, and then soon after her initial fiasco with H, she shut down the shop and then reopened it under a different alias, but she managed to still include a photo in one of her listings with her old eBay shop's name on it. At this point I just think she's ruthless and doesn't give a crap about violating the T&C, and then get upset about it for getting caught. And then after all of these dramas and letters, she still want to shop at H...At this point I just think she has a weird obsession with H

I saw that too.
Those last 5 mins should be pretty "telling" to the viewers.

My main confusion on Mel getting this letter is that in the Reetzy Hermes Facebook Group, there's DOZENS of posts daily of people selling their items - mostly all at some kind of markup with the exception of a few items. There are luxury influencers selling quota bags on their Instagram pages. Heck, there's even one who posts here frequently that has sold her quota bags via IG. Not sure why these people are not getting these letters when they are selling quota bags for $25k+ and Mel is merely selling a bag at retail just to recoup her costs. I know that Mel has done some shady things in terms of selling boxes, dustbags, dupes on her eBay store, but this just seems a little off to me.
I’m not exactly sure to whom you are referring, but yes, MANY (even notable) people associated with TPF constantly resell their Hermes purchases (silks, shoes, rodeos) publicly, even their SO bags. I’m always baffled by their boldness and wonder if you have to constantly resell your items to continue financing your H shopping, are you even really an H client or just someone who desperately wants to be seen as such? Regardless, I think H is making an effort to cut off some of the lowest hanging fruit, especially in those FB groups and YouTube personalities. Ive seen more than a few prolific sellers there post with confusion as to why their SA has suddeny stopped replying or why inventory to them has mysteriously dried up. I believe other people in those groups are reporting the big private resellers to Hermes customer service or even store managers and that Hermes actually acts on those reports but it’s a slow process and there are an overwhelming number of resellers for H to get through.

This. A lot.

ETA: As an afterthought...

I have my own opinions on Mel, but I do think it's worth stating that I'm sure there are several groups with different reasons for reselling. One group is obviously the above mentioned, one could be those who just buy-buy-buy things they don't even want in order to secure a QB and then declutter, another group could be those who buy and eventually get bored and sell, one could be a group that just flat out wants to profit from more difficult to find items... I don't think there is just one reason for chronic reselling, or reselling in general.

Purseonfleek? Girl Bye! First of all, she comes off as very entitled and demanding. I saw part of the first Hermes Made Me Cry video. I couldn't get through it. If I was an SA that received an essay, oops I mean wishlist, I would have blocked her ass. No one has a right to a Birkin. Hermes can sell to or in this case not sell to whomever it chooses. The fact that she feels the need to make videos demonstrating her Karen-ish ways further evidences her idiocy. I would have thought she learned her lesson after the first disaster of a video. She didn't get the sympathy she was expecting.
