I have family in HK so I say this delicately. The culture there in many circles is so tied to famous brands, H being a key member of course. I know of a few family members and acquaintances who frankly don’t make a lot of money still feeling an innate pressure to buy H. It feels kinda rough to be honest.

I also wonder if this pressure means some of these bags we see in the pictures are fake.
I completely get you. ;)

I’m absolutely blown away - both by your generosity in snapping and sharing @Perja - but at all of these in a single place outside a boutique!! Thank you, how fun to see. I only rarely see an Evelyne and a few Birkins in a former office building in my city (other than my own bags). What fun! And art is always fabulous + H art :flowers:

You nailed it.

I recently traveled all over Japan and only saw h in Tokyo specifically in ginza area. Saw 2 beautiful birkins but didn’t get any chance to snap a photo.

What B??? Love the coat
It looks like a Sable..Its stunning!
My Late father was a furrier and he instilled in me an appreciation of a beautifully constructed fur coat.
I wouldn't however feel comfortable wearing one now as an animal lover but that doesn't stop me admiring them.
Back on topic.
I dont usually like Etoupe bags (which I suspect this is) but for some reason against that coat this one looks beautiful

Not just HK. It's all of Asia - China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines. Asian culture places huge emphasis on display of luxury brands from clothing, jewelry, cars, etc, and it's further perpetuated by social media.

Yes fakes, especially the quality of fakes, are scarily authentic looking.

Sorry for going off topic
I agree here as well. I would add Thailand also. I see quite a few bags in the wild around in BKK, some are by Hermes and some... are not. ;-)

Birkin 25 in black - The lady seems to carry a furry LV as well, so I guess capacity for 25 is fairly small

I'm not sure I really understand the trend of carrying two bags, it just seems like a lot to deal with, but I see it daily around SF. And it's not always a smaller bag paired with a bigger bag like this, sometimes it's like B35-sized-bag AND a big tote. My shoulders ache just seeing it. That said, I understand keeping a foldable grocery-size bag in case one needs some unexpected capacity (I keep a Silky-Pop Tote inside my smaller bags like the B25 or Toolbox 20 when I'm out and about).

...and actually looking at this photo, I think that might be a B30; I can't imagine a B25's handles fitting that far up anyone's arm.
