Hi there Doc! I've been amazed at all the knowledge you have and been trying to use the standard recommended moisturizing treatment with Blackrock! I just treated a new to me box Kelly and noticed where the leather bends when you open it up there looks like some minute creasing/straining... I tried to capture it in the photo. After 2 treatments, maybe it's still dry? I figured before going further that I should ask for some advice though! Should I do another round of Blackrock or any other wisdom for me? Thanks so much!!!

Hi there Doc! First of all, hope you are feeling better!

I need advice on what can be done (if anything) to my handles that seem to be cracking. Please help!

Dear Doc, hope you are well and I have a non vintage Hermes question. I am considering a new plume in one of those pale colours and was wondering if there is anything I could spray the handles to prevent them darkening too quickly. I know we should not spray good leather, but if there was anything to protect the handles from absorbing oils, I would consider it rather than a twilly which I can't really do. ) my very best. X

Hi Doc,
Hope you are well. I hope you can give me some advice on a doblis kelly bag that I have in orange. It overall looks pretty good but the edges have some darkening. Do you know if an Hermes Spa would be able to clean this? Or anything you could recommend?
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi, Could be oils could be dirty hard to tell if tee area is stained or not you could try cleaning the edges with a good suede cleaner or use some leather degrease... or use a pumice block and buff them lightly.

Spa with H might help... ask them ?
All the best,doc

This happens fairly often with white bag handles
Have the resins or edge coat redone ...at H.
No worries
All the best doc
PS> unless you want to do it?

Thanks, Doc:) can you recommend a suede cleaner that would be safe to use on orange doblis?
And which brush do you recommend to use in general for doblis?
If it doesn't help, is there a way it would be safe to dye suede around corners?

There is an option for me to do it? I had no idea! What do you recommend?

Also, how would you care for Courchevel leather? I bought the Lexol PH wipes and didn't know if I also needed to treat it with the Blackrock, Tarrago, or Fiebings leather baume Atom wax? ( I saw the other products in this thread). It is gold color. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Lady Sarah,
The main thing is what's on your hands the heat of your hands opens the leather pores up and drive oils, salts, lotions and dirt into the leather... So if you have normally nervous hands meaning they get a bit damp or you live in a hot climate and your hands perspire then you should take care with your handles by wearing glove or applying a bit of talc to your hands during the days when you carry this bag. Additionally
you can use Luxury Again Weather & Stain Shield Kit that should help... but you may wish to repeat it in a few months to keep on top of things. I hope that helps
All the best,doc

You don't want most any of those products for your courchevel you can use lexol ph wipes if you like I prefer a Luxury Again Spa kit it will have everything all premeasured and simple step by step instructions easy peasey and no guess work needed...
you want to have the old resin which is almost like a leather paint on white bags removed and new put on... basically the thick edging is cracked its not going to be healed or fixed with anything you put on it... Take it to H and they can put new resin on. Or send it to a professional to do it for you.
All the best,doc
