Dear Docride
Need your help again, please. I've read another thread about this but could not find a definitive answer here.
This is my Kelly 32 Sellier and I *think* she might be Chamonix. She's from 1979, the resin is brown which you can see in the photos and the colour is a shade or two darker than my Dalvy VN. The photos are without flash and I would say the leather feels smooth and does have a slight sheen compared to the VN but is thick and still stiff. Please would you have a look - thank you so much!

Looks like Natural Charmonix, what a beautiful Kelly she is. BTW Vache Natural has natural Burnished edges ... I hope that helps? All the best, doc

Hi Doc:

I just received this vintage Rio box leather clutch and want to do a home spa treatment to minimize the scratches and improve the overall look. The scratches are particularly evident on the front of the clutch with the zoom option. There is also wrinkling on the front to the clutch that I want to minimize if possible. It is more of a brick red IRL with no orange undertomes. Thanks in advance.

extra soft and fine lambskin esp the kind than is used for Carmens and the interior of some bags (ie the Bolide ) does not clean up well or easily because it has usually becomed stained with grease/ oils from handling...(lamskin absorbs oils easily) So sorry I can't give you a cleaning solution... If you try to clean it, it will most likely change color, loose it's shape and become stiff in most cases.

Thanks Doc~ I am pretty unhappy with the what has happened to it over time and I will most definitely not be purchasing another key fob in a light color.

Hope all is well!!!!

i have couple questions for you, thankyou first to take time to answers my questions.

1. my kelly box has just come from hermes spa in paris, it looks beautiful, the ny spa do nothing to the bag, question is, is it ok to apply the blackrocks leather n rich to the kelly bag after spa, so the leather will not easly to dry?

2. if i apply blackrocks to the leather is it prefer to add the meltonian clear on the top of the blackrocks? or should i just go with blackrocks alone no meltonian, to get the best result?

3. the obenauf cream is it for water proof? can i use it to the bag to water proof it? and how again the process just to make sure i do the right thing?

4. i believe i read the previous thread and you said and some people do say that hermes will still take the bag to the spa eventhough i did the moisturizer at home if someday i decided to take the bag to the spa?

thank you so much for answering my questions

Blackrocks will remove the polishg that Hermes spa just put on.

2. if i apply blackrocks to the leather is it prefer to add the meltonian clear on the top of the blackrocks? or should i just go with blackrocks alone no meltonian, to get the best result? If you want a high shine then apply a neutral polish if not just hand buff

3. the obenauf cream is it for water proof? can i use it to the bag to water proof it? and how again the process just to make sure i do the right thing?
You can water protect with Obenauf's LP Heavy duty or Blackrocks or even a nutral polish will weather protect. I forgot which page in this thread has the step by step instructions.look up Box calf care (I think)and hit search this thread

4. i believe i read the previous thread and you said and some people do say that hermes will still take the bag to the spa eventhough i did the moisturizer at home if someday i decided to take the bag to the spa?I don't comment on this topic much other than to say if done properly your leather will only look and feel well cared for and this should never be a reason for refusal by any leather care professional

thank you so much for answering my questions

Answered above in red^^^:smile1:
