In the fall, this bag should look interesting with gray flannel & if you wear shawls, any color
will work with your gray & green, JMO
I'm going to try all the different twillies at Hermes today and also look online as well. I would love a few Hermes twillies just so I can have a "complete Hermes" package but I'm open to having others as well. I will definitely try a grey twilly on it and let you know if I find anything. Right now may not be the season for grey but I will definitely look for grey! :) Thank you! :)

I don't know what collection the shawl pattern Sous l'egide de Mars is from, but this colorway
is chock full of wonderful greens that one can get inspired by ..

I am such a neutrals person that Bleu Électrique was bright for me...but now I wear it with almost anything and it always makes me happy.

I am a huge fan of the Toolbox, both 20 and 26 (33 is too big for me), and wish it were a more popular bag.
Oh the Bleu Électrique is BEAUTIFUL! Stunning color! I wouldn't mind having that color in my collection as well! I find that color would have been easier for me personally to pair with outfits. This Grany green is so different for me but it is growing on me daily! My mindset is so set on purchasing "safe colors" that it became "my normal".to ONLY do that, until now. I was so disappointed today.
I made plans to go to Hermes today but they were closed for the July 4th holiday. I'm so glad I looked up their hours as I would have wasted my time going. I will be that kid in the candy store Im sure! Hahaha! :) You being a neutral person like me can relate to how I stepped out of my norm with this bright green bag that I am now enjoying. :)

I would love to see pics of your outfits if you are so incl8ned! Congrats!

I can really see this bag in winter. . .a bright pop against a navy pea coat and jeans. Or against a camel long coat and winter white. The more you wear it, the more you will find it goes. . .
Oh yes! I will show pics of my outfits. I haven't really done much yet as far as selecting out of my closet yet but I did make a couple of purchases. If I was THINKING I could have took pics in the dressing room as it had great lighting! Smh. Well, at the next shopping visit I will do that. My plan is to go to Hermes tomorrow. So far my last 4 attempts were not successful (too busy on Saturday, Sundays Hermes is closed, Monday I wasn't available and Tuesday Hermes wasn't available! Hahaha (closed for July 4th). Thank goodness tomorrow should work for the both of us! :)

I would view apple green as a pop neutral personally

it would go with any variety of skirts, pants, tops or dresses in white, beige. Light gray. Charcoal gray, taupe, navy, black, bittersweet dark brown, dark purple, dark burgundy. Red and green are complimentary colors, but I would not go equally bright with equal amounts, if I were new to color. If one is careful, one could also put n acid apple green with a dark forest green, and so on. It’s not really my style to pair a lot of brights, like lemon yellow, orange, and apple together, but people who like to color block might find this appealing. I would personally rather mix color or pattern against neutrals. If you mix pattern, try to vary the scale of the print. You can of course always match the apple green to a minimal accent color in a scarf or blouse. @Cookiefiend in the SOTD thread is expert with gorgeous green tones.

some designers have used this color to great effect in various seasons. Bottega Veneta comes to mind. I would not worry about exact matches or you will drive yourself crazy. In other words, don’t worry about matching belts, or shoes.
@880 Oh my gosh! I didn't know you sent me the link that had the video discussing green handbags! Im not sure how I over looked that! I wanted to come back to thank you! I will take a look! :)

I'm not familiar with this brand but I did do a goggle search as I was curious and I saw the beautiful colors in these shaws! They are breathtaking!
The shawl is from Hermes & might be available in silk I know it is available in cashmere( not sure what collection)
so looking at the green colorway & the link with the video from @880, you should be well
on your way styling your green toolbox. Have fun!!

Hello PF Family!

I just purchased today a 2011 Hermes Toolbox 20 in Swift leather with palladium hardware. It's marked as very good but imo it is excellent. The ONLY con (if you want to call it that) is this bright and loud granny green apple color! Lol. It is a pretty color, but it is LOUD! LOL. When I got home I put on a twilly from Amazon just to get an idea if adding a twilly would help tone the bag down. I feel it has. Any ideas on colors for a twilly? Please feel free to suggest. Anyway it was purchased at Fashionphile. I have not cut off the tag yet as I am contemplating and need to see if I will feel comfortable wearing this loud color. Lol. Of course I can get a safe color like brown or black but it's nice to have something different. Here are some pics and here is the link from FP. Input please  I thank all that are helping me decide. To make it clear, I do love the color, but it is LOUD! LOL

I just came across this thread. The bright green color of your bag is one of the hot colours of Summer 2023. Hermes latest 2023 version of this color is called Vert Comics. I would definitely use this bag if I have one. This green can go with many other pop colours, orange, shocking pink, turquoise, yellow, various shades of lavender and purple. It is a fun refreshing color for a summer bag. I don't have a bag this color anymore, but I bought pants in this color, and I found an old scarf with 1960s hot colours that I can use to wear the pants with different color tops. To tone down the bright colours, I wear a white oversize Zara blazer to go with the outfit.

Thank you for telling me this green is the IT color for 2023! I think it will be the IT color for me for awhile! Lol

Thank you! :) the bag is not heavy at all imo. It has some weight to it and I'm terrible at guessing so I brought out my electronic scale to measure it however the scale states it's 0.00. I would think it would be at least 2 lbs so Im not sure if the scale is just not registering the bag. When I have my basics inside, it is not heavy at all. My basics are reading glasses, chanel flap card holder, key pouch with keys and a mini pochette with my makeup and a cell phone (Samsung Z3 Flip). All of these items fit nicely and organized in my Toolbox. I've only used the strap about 2 times. It is VERY comfortable! It balances the bag nicely and the bag does not feel heavy at all. The canvas material of the strap is soft, even on bare skin. I prefer the look of the bag on the crook of my arm but regardless it looks nice as well with the strap. Imo it's a great length for a shoulder bag. I'm 5ft 7in. Hope this helps! :)
