i've only seen ostrich and lizard brikins on the shelves actually in the H stores in Tokyo. But yes, resellers have lots of crocs though, in all the yummy colours. Good luck! Oh one point to note, because uts an exotic, think you will need the CITES cert to get your tax refund, which takes 10 days.

Thanks for sharing, Lumine! :flowers: That was very helpful.

well, i bought two birkins so far..one 40cm togo vert anis from hermes ginza
and one 35cm ostrich gold from herpla!! yaaay!!
I must say, herpla's store is amazing, but i went there after i went to hermes, so i already bought one bag..so could only buy one more..they had this gorgeous clemence gris..i passed by a store before herpla (dont know the name) they had a 35cm black croc, but when i changed the price to euros, it was about 33000!! so...obviously i didnt get it...
aaah..herpla also had a gorgeous 35 kelly in this bright blue with gold....ohh well :X

Hi tokyogirl. From the posts I've read it seems that you are in tokyo. I will be going to tokyo next month and was wondering how are the prices in tokyo H stores. Would be interested in Kelly 25cm or Birkin 30cm. Also looking for a non-exotic jige or kelly clutch, a breloque and some cadenas? Any shopping inputs for H store or H reseller would be appreciated. Btw, how much is sales tax in tokyo?

thanks in advance.

Azalea, I will PM you.

My 2 cents - I've a friend who bought a 30cm gold togo birkin at Shinjuku Isaetan H store at around 990,000Yen (tax included) last week.

That's consistent with my conversation where I confirmed with an H SA today at the H Marunouchi store -- average it's around 103,000 yen for a 30 Birkin and 840,000 yen for a 28 Kelly.

I travel to Tokyo all the time and I honestly wouldn't sugguest people buying Hermes over there. The mark-up is steep for imports (whether at Isetan or the Ginza store) and resellers tend to sell their bags at stratospheric prices. However, as tokyogirl mentioned in another post, if you are looking for something rare and unique (e.g. two-tone combos like rose indienne croc + beige rose croc), Loire and Mika is the way to go.

twigz good to see you!

I (or at least the DH) might be headed to Tokyo in the coming weeks. Apart from the official Hermes boutiques and resellers, I have been told that department stores such as Isetan and Daimaru also have Hermes, and sometimes even carry exotics.

I would be so grateful if anyone familiar with the Hermes scene in Tokyo could tell me which of these department stores carry Hermes. I need to plan my daily route to cover all of them ;)

Hi Roxane - I had a good experience in the Isetan Hermes boutique. If you need a SA that speaks really good English, ask for Toyodo-san. She was extremely helpful and was very nice to bring out bags from the back for me. =)

If you use the store locator on the Hermès web site you'll find contact details for all the stores in Japan. Clicking on 'Tokyo' shows several Takashimaya and Isetan listings.

Duh! I didn't think to check first before I asked – just assumed the website would only show the standalone boutiques. Argh! Looks like I don't need to do anything else if I want to cover all of them in Tokyo!

Thanks eminere! :flowers:
