Stopped by Bellavita yesterday & saw a number of gorgeous bags on display but not for sale- a red birkin 30 ghillies, a red Kelly 28, & a toolbox 20 in a light blue just to name a few. While I understand the first two were for display only, why the toolbox? Is it a difficult bag to acquire in Asia? Just curious... On a side note, the SA was very friendly in showing us shoes but there was a limited selection & none that appealed to me.

Thanks for the update!

I think small size bags are very popular in Asia so they are usually for regular customers...the bigger sizes are available for walk-ins.

What leather combo was the ghillies?

I didn't look carefully but it appeared to be to be swift or box- very little to no veining & I think it was rouge H. Very pretty. I was more concerned with my littles not leaving fingerprints all over their big long mirrors so really didn't look carefully LOL

The bags are marked for display only because these bags have some sort of flaw, not perfect to sell per sa. They put them for display cuz they always get request from customers to see size/styles for reference.

I'm going to Taiwan next month and just wondering how their pricing compares to Canada or the US? I'm not trying to get a bag or anything, maybe just some scarves etc.. wondering if it's worth getting there, esp their duty free shop? thanks!

Handbag is cheaper in Taiwan but scarf/twilly is more expensive so depends on product group.

the Taiwan dollar has gone up...so the prices are not so cheap. Price of a CDC lizard ombré is NT$45,800 so at the current exchange rate that is US$1,526 (this is duty free already) so I don't think it's so cheap in taiwan. If I recall correctly ombré CDC is US$1350 before tax in USA.

Have fun!!

Last time I purchased a 90 there, it was close to 15000 TWD in the city, so almost $500 USD and the selection was quite limited. Not sure if it's the best place to buy scarves.
