To me they need to try a little harder to understand some men are buying from the "women's" color line of some scarves and also women are probably becoming a significant contender for men's category scarves. I have liked several these past few seasons from men's but I just can't with the dull colorways. I can only put so many of those in my scarf drawer!

I may just have to toss a coin on the rooster scarf as to which one stays. I like the design (for personal sentiment) really well, and it is actually designed well (since it is Alice Shirley) but H dropped the ball on colors choices all across the board again.
I have to say, I agree with Meta below, cw 11 is spectacular on you, it really does light up your face! But I agree, the scarf people haven't really come to grips with the idea of offering some unisex colorations. I too find designs on the men's side that I really like but that I find need more color; how many gris chiné, rouge H, marine cws can I stand? And adding a turquoise or pink hem doesn't really help me. Sigh, not a real problem in the grand scheme of things but when I'm on the subject of scarf colorations it irks me.

Hello again scarf fans. It's comparison time!

I couldn't just go without trying the other colorway that was available on the US site of the rooster scarf. I am now officially refusing to write all those ooooos and heretofore calling it The Rooster Scarf. I think with this scarf, my poultry platter box in the scarf collection is checked.

The colorway I just got in a surprise delivery last night (Thanks FedEx!) is colorway 11 marine/bordeaux/naturel and I've taken a few more mods shots for a direct comparison with the other colorway I have tried out CW 05 etoupe/rouge/orange

On the comparison pics for the CW 11 to the website images I'd say the red has a more pink tinge in their images than IRL. IRL to me it is bordeaux and lighter bordeaux, but on the web it looks pinker than it is like a raspberry color and it isn't (sadly...I would have loved that...). Anyway, the lighter blue is a lovely vibrant blue with a teal tinge to it. The darker blue (marine) to me is a warm navy shade with a bit of a greenish teal undertone to it but still recognizably navy.

The naturel is a similar naturel shade to the base of my Amazons CSGM (pictured next to it) and not quite as warm ivory as the web image shows. Definitely a warn, natural off white.

Now I just have to make a decision, as I think I could get away with either option. And I won't be stupid enough to say I am done with Spring 24, but my wallet hopes I am.
Tough decision but I prefer the new 11 on you- think the natural background suits you more than the other one.

I have to chime in to say cw 11 looks better on you in comparison to cw 05. You glow in cw 11.:tup::hbeat:

Thank y’all @Meta and @textilegirl for the opinions on CW11 v CW05.

I hear y’all on the scarf colors front.

Thank you for all of the lovely modshots! It's so helpful to have more accurate color comparisons.
I waited to pull the trigger on the kaki Precious Paradise (we're traveling for the holidays, and I feared no one would be able to meet the fedex driver), and now it's gone out of stock on the US site, drat! Fingers crossed it comes back or that I can find it locally.

So hard to say as you can make either work. In these pics, I have a slight preference for CW11 on you - it’s brightening and looks like an easy ‘throw and go’ option. However, I think that the outfit choice is influencing this for me. Pop a white t-shirt under CW05 and you should see a similar brightening effect. A white top and black leather jacket would look amazing with 05.

Agree with your colour thoughts. I actually think the combo in 05 is successful, if dull in tone (further compounded by the gris background). It really needs a stark, bright contrast to lift it, or it runs the risk of looking flat.

Hello again scarf fans. It's comparison time!
Well, I’m glad it’s not my decision to make. They fulfill two completely different purposes - one is sober and serious, the other more playful with the pop of orange. Although I personally dislike orange, I have to admit it works REALLY well with the greys, and as others have said, really brightens you.

So, I suppose, what is missing from your collection in this format - darker, or brighter? 🤷‍♂️

Here is a quick shot of Tatouages Marins Bandana 140 CSGM cw 04 Marine Clair / Blanc. I took the photo in front of a window in natural light but darkened the photo to get it closer to its actual colors as it looked royal blue in the photo, which it is not IMO. It is a nice bright navy. The two following photos are more accurate regarding color but still the actual scarf is slightly darker IRL. It is called the same color navy as LBK’s Zoaves Bandana CSGM 140: Marine Clair. The warm color in the scarf is a what I would call a warm beige - not yellow. The white is warm white but not cream.

This is a very cheerful blue - rather perfect with this yellow, to my thinking. Looks great on you!

Thank you for the mod shots, this is a design I am somewhat tempted by.

I know that I nitpick, but harumpppfff, this one is 1.5 cm smaller !!!
This FOREVER is 88.5cm sq, not 90. So much for the FOREVERs being identical to the oldies ... not that the older ones were ever EXACTLY 90cm. I spot checked ONE OTHER ONE on h.com - it too is 88.5. Sacre bleu ! 88.5 is the new 90!
They must have gotten a new ruler....
That’s irritating and kind of a dealbreaker for me.

Bunny - my two cents. I much prefer CW 11 among the two. Although I generally like SOME orange details, but in Etoupe Rouster those orange details look a bit odd. And I agree with your sentiments re: dull CWs for men's collections scarves. While some of the designs are superb, the CWs are in need for improvement. :)))

Thank you so much for the mod shots! I am eyeing CW 11 and, between the 2, your photos confirm that this is the winner in my book.
Not sure if it is *bright* enough for me though. On you, CW11 is the best one IMO.

Looking forward to hearing which of the 2 made the cut.

Thank y'all all for weighing in and giving me some clearer vision on the rooster scarf! I saw a pack of 40 wild turkeys today grazing in my in-laws yard. It must be a sign!

I agree that CW 05 is going to play best on a contrast backdrop while CW 11 is an easier, wardrobe friendly option. :)

Here was 05 on red- which I think it looks great with:

They absolutely are 2 different animals ( ) in terms of what portion of the closet they would go with. I kind of wish I could keep both, but my wallet said no....

I think I like them both for different reasons, but if I have to pick one then I'm probably going with the more wardrobe friendly choice. I like the edge factor on the etoupe one though, but not sure I have quite enough winter gear to fill it out.

I do hope you try it Forever Orange! I am just afraid to get in to the situation again like Sweet Dreams (2 times). Where (in the case of the original release) my favorite colorway only made it to the web one time, and I missed it. Then decided to try and wait and by the time I figured out it was never coming back, all the other "back up" colorways were gone too. Then on the triangle, well, it never even made it to the US website, I don't think, so that was a moot point. :shrugs:

This is the "alternate" option of the bright R/W/B colorway that has yet to be spotted IRL. There definitely is a red white blue and black version. It would probably look GREAT on me because of the clear, bright colors on it, but there is just too much "baggage" inherent in a RWB scarf for me to be comfortable in it.

They made 2 RWB based options and while I think their money could have been better spent with fewer options and better color combinations, if RWB is a combo that is not in your wheelhouse for what ever the reason, this one is just "off RWB" enough to make it work. There's also a blue orange and natural one coming too. And really, those 3 could have been collapsed down in to 1 or 2 scarves and been just fine.

Seriously though, if they had just thought a little harder about what was going to show when tying the things! On the etoupe one, if the foliage had been outlined in black and then a color, instead of just black and grey, and rooster plumage done with red and grey or red and black, it could have been a stand out and STILL fit the men's category just fine. If this one (CW 11) had actually used a pink for the foliage interior and the hem so that from far away it was recognizable as a different color, it could have been a slam dunk home run and been a great unisex scarf. So as I said before, there's a WHOLE lot of "didn't try hard enough" going on with H. Some simple, thoughtful changes could have made some really STELLAR scarves this season, instead of a few knockouts and a lot of well, I like but would it have been better if....And they could have just released 4 colorways that were well thought through instead of stabbing at it with 1 great color on each scarf and a few "what were they thinking" colors and then releasing 5-6 colorways that are middle of the road.
 🙇‍♀️ :ty:
Well said
And I like the naturel backround which I think is 11? You look amazing in a burgundy red

Ordered the jungle love, will pick up in the new year. But my SA was telling me the price increase is from the 1st of Jan it seems, she didnt tell me how much. So I ordered the jungle love as I’m sure. But want to try the different colours of the Mystere au 24 and the flagship one to see which ones suit me so I’ll pay the new price.
I saw your post yesterday and ordered Jungle Love and Mystère in blue / pink bonbon!! Thanks for your info. I remember they hike up the prices every year but I thought it was in February or March. I’ll post pics of Mystère when I get the package and of the 2 Jaguar cashmeres I bought few days ago.
