Thanks for your pics @GloWW0rM, interesting to see this slightly softer colouration compared to this one I bought, possibly 45 yrs ago (can’t recall the year after all this time!) I was young enough then to be swayed when the Sales Assistant said it was a Classic, which of course it is, but I don’t like black/white/gold for myself for day time wear; it has remained a horrible warning ever since and I have never bought another BdG. It suits my old Teddy’s colouring rather better and is his permanent wrap! This new one looks less harsh.

Yes, the ivory makes it softer but to be honest it’s still quite harsh with that big, bold border. Folded on bias it’s then just too much of the ivory next to my face, which doesn’t suit my complexion. I’m sure that will be different for skin tones that suit camel and caramels, like your teddy!

I can’t wait to see more. It’s been quiet here for this time of year. Normally we see a lot more posted by the beginning of December.

Wow. I stepped away from H scarves for a while (last one I bought was Robe du Soir marble) due lifestyle change and awful colorways. I see nothing has changed. To each their own but this will not be the season I stage a comeback that’s for sure.

Thank you for posting. I share similar sentiments regarding 140’s. Not sure why but I really prefer this design as a 140cm. The yellow colourway intrigues me though it would probably be ghastly against my skin.

Thank you so much for sharing these. Robe Légère is one of my favourite designs so I was eager to see cw for this season. I have no 140 silks but I will definitely try these out. I would like a yellow scarf but it is not an easy color for me… the gold and vermillion are nice as well, or maybe the navy? I will have to try them all

Quick question: Is 140 silk also the scarf that is referred to as CSGM? Or is this a bigger 100% silk scarf that is 140 x 140? Thank you.

140 silk is, just like a 90 carre, 100% silk. The CSGM is a cashmere/silk blend.

I saw the navy and vermillion and thought right away that you’re going to love them! For me, not my colourways, I prefer the cashmere 140, and it’s too much blank space on this design. I have a 90 and it’s enough for me (watch me cave and get the navy )

Ooh I am pretty predictable

I know, not everybody is fond of this design, but I personally do not mind the blank corners. I do wonder though how this design will translate in 140…

I love 140 cashmere, so I will have to wait and see if I like the 140 silk too.

I think I remember your 90, was it the pink or navy one? However, you simply MUST get the 140 in navy and show it to us here!

CSGM stands for Cashmere Silk Grand Modele - so cashmere blend shawls. There are also GM (grand modele) 140 in silk - usually made from plume 100 percent silk.
