I’m just copying and pasting @redheaddem’s wonderfully kind listing of this season’s scarves, so the list can be carried forward and we don’t have to hunt for so long for it.

View attachment 5892827”Mystère au 24” seems to depict the private Hermès museum, which is on the top floor of the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré flagship.

The museum has been ransacked, perhaps by the newest scarf designers looking for inspiration. After seeing this newest collection, it’s apparent that they didn’t find any.

I never thought I'd say this, but this is looking the most inspirational and exciting for SS24. I don't have a BdG at all of any kind, and I am actually going to see it next week. Either I am turning boring or the other offerings are making the classics look stunning by comparison.

You made me laugh out loud @papertiger, with your interpretation of the Mystere 24! I thought it resembled the work of Rosa Maria Unda Souki, the Venezuelan artist from Objets de Curiosite so I was intrigued by it but at this point in the season I too am more interested in the reissues! I wonder if Jungle Love will be issued in multiple cws or if it will be a "Forever" or capsule collection. And I count myself in the very small number that does love the BdG design. I have the fleuris, the doubleface, the finesse, the shadow and the marble silk and that doesn't even count a few I have "released." It is good that H continues to offer reissues for those of us who missed classics or loved designs the first time around.

I have a Jungle Love Rainbow otherwise I may also be looking at SS24 Reissue.

It surprised me, that my SA alerted me the store already has SS24 scarves available as normally (at least for the last 14 years) we have to wait to NY (price-rises included).

Something very appealing about a simple, beautiful heritage design for me atm, I am also aware of how well my BdG gift was received by a friend last month (BdG Applique Pique AW23). Could it be I'm growing up?

For those that need to know:
SS24 Bride de Gala is H001266S 75 Noir/Créme/Or

It could not possibly *be* more beautifully classic than that and the AW 23 shawl was gorgeous. Lucky friend!

I would love if they would issue Jungle love - classic and without twists - in different colors!

I totally agree with you and I have 2 BdG, a tatouage and a washed silk. But so far it's the only design that appeals to me

LOL *you* are not turning boring. Other option.

I think they are trying to attract younger clientele with their offerings and save money along the way. Complex and intrinsic designs require multiple color applications = more expensive, so most of their scarves (and shawls in particular) are bland and mostly have white (or gris de chine in cashmere) base. Looking at most recent collections, there are VERY few colorful shawls, and most of them are just GRAY based (and with horrible quality of fabric to match). I am sure cost consideration has a huge aspect in this lack of variety. I don't think Kermit Oliver or Annie Favre ran out of the creative ideas all of a sudden. It is just to produce something similar to Dans un Jardin or Tsitsika would be cost prohibitive nowadays. H is in business of making money first and foremost, thus they print those faceless gris de shine shawl and bland scarves that no one wants.
Yawn !
I always love reading about new seasons , and the comments they provoke . The lustre wore of Hermès a while back for me, partly because of what you have described and I’m afraid I’ve found it all really boring too.
I hope to recapture silk and bag love one day , meanwhile this all has decided me to leave off selling my collection!
