I got two new ins so far from this season: Les Anamorphoses in CW05, I first thought I got the CW wrong, but I looove it actually :D
So I think I´m joining team "waiting for the mirror sheet.."

I also got Cheval Vague in CW10, and while I generally love that one too, what annoys me here is that I like a lot of the colors and patterns here , and when you wear it "regular" you can only show that swirly part, which isn´t my fave... and I don´t do the cape style a lot when out and about...

Love Les Anamorphoses on you!

Apart from the Jardin des Peintres and the CdF which I posted above, I tried one other scarf on Friday, and that one I did end up getting..... It's the Retour a la Nature CW8. Which is stunning in the h.com modeling picture and laid out in real life. I've posted the h.com modshot below.
I'm not sure however that this scarf loves me back. I find it doesn't tie well? Plus, the dramatic look achieved by the model on h.com seems to depend on having an all-white outfit, which I would rarely wear (and especially not in winter...) There's of course also my old issue with CSGMs, which is that it's simply too much material for little old 5'1 me. It's overwhelming.

Wearing it belted is one option, that I think looks OK. But not sure if that wouldn't be too fussy?

Given all these, I think I might return this. CSGMs are too expensive to keep any that are not unambiguous winners. But still, would be grateful for your opinions. What do you guys think? And should I maybe try it with different colored sweaters?? Not sure what color would work with this tbh...

BTW the hem looks black on h.com but it's actually navy. (Which seems to be a missed opportunity - the rest of the shawl is black and it would have been cool to have a matching hem.)

(Sorry for the poor quality modshots, it's super overcast today)

I love the drama of the Cheval Vague! I'm definitely getting it, just waiting for my store to receive other CWs. I think this looks great on you!

I think it looks great on you, especially belted and paired with your pink belt that contrasts nicely with the grey, black and white portion as well as bring out the pink in the florals. But I agree at the current price point, the keepers should be those that you clearly love and will regret if you choose to return.

IMHO, the dissymmetry of colors which looks so beautiful on you in the photo with the belt doesn't work well with the other knots because the expanse of grey and white is too huge. I think that a more colourful colorway would look great with your lovely hair color. The issue isn't your size, @ajaxbreaker, it is the layout/arrangement of the colors on the scarf.

This design is stunning but as you have pointed out with others, it does not tie easily. Which is such a shame. Stunning design is often better on a wall than worn. Its always the ones you never expect that are the easiest to wear. Best of luck with your tough decision. :flowers:

Hi all! Usually I read along and admire all of your purchases but now I have something to share myself :D This week I received the Jungle Love square 70! I was a bit hesitant to order because I only have square 90’s but I was so in love with the colors and print that I decided to go for it and I’m happy I did:love: there are many cute animals hidden in the design and I love the variety between the panter print and the flower print.

Excuse my sweater, I was so excited I forgot to change to something more decent/more matching:giggle: I also need a different scarf ring, this one for the square 90 is too big but that will make a fun next purchase!

It is a beauty. The stamping is so well done over the original design and the 70cm looks great on you.

Some modshots from the boutique - didn't buy any of these, still mulling over.

Le Jardin des Peintres CW5
I actually really liked this. The difference between the two sides really adds something here, and I liked the riot of bright yellows and reds around the neck when you tie it. But I'm holding out for the white/green CW8, which kinda reminds me of the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel banana leaf wallpaper.

After that I tried two CWs of Costume de Fete.... which, I have to say, is an absolute stunner in person. They had the cyclamen CW up on the wall in the store and I could have just spent hours staring at it. Incredibly beautiful design. I like both CWs I tried. Though I have to say, the blue (while an incredible color) is a LOT. I feel like that scarf might be too loud for any outfit? Which one does everyone prefer?

I will definitely buy one of these two CWs. I might however end up framing this rather than wearing it, just to enjoy the design more...

I am drawn more to the black on you and really like that yellow in the black color way.

I think the cyclamen cw looks stunning on you! I know you’ve been grappling with it, but given how much you love the piece itself I vote for keeping it. Maybe it just feels too much out of your comfort zone but I really like it on you and it is a gorgeous scarf IRL. :flowers:
Thank you so much for weighing in. That is good advice. I have to say that the design grew on me. At first, I thought an image of a garment is not my ideal scarf design, but now I like the chickens, the flowers, the stitches.

Both are stunning @Smae-ze -- I have a very slight preference for the cream/black on you (and I am biaesd because I love the mauve-- it was my first choice). Both are completely suited to your skin tone and look lovely on you.

Chevaloscope-- from this brief description of your dilemma @snnysmm!

One is totally in your wheelhouse/comfort zone but both are beautiful on you @Maedi! Costumes would be a lovely and unusual "bright" in your collection and it would shine if you picked up some of the lovely greens and blues in the vest. Also ivory and camel would be lovely neutral options-- (have a look at the Tea Time scarf with the cyclamen panel and neutral-ish background for ideas!). Of course you would totally rock that mauve cw that I picked but I can tell you from my love of the bright pink Duo Cosmique-- which was way out in left field for me at the time, that a bright can be a really great addition! This scarf is also very easy to tie to minimize the bright field. I hope this little analysis helps. You and I so ften coincide in our tastes, despite our different coloring.

I fell in love with that Peintres for all the reasons that you give @ajaxbreaker. For you I love that one and the yellow Costumes de Fete. Of course I'd love that green Peintres also-- all the cws are stunners and this double has as @Maedi puts it two "convincing" sides so worth the $$

A scarfie after my own heart! I purchased Rayures in 01 (posted some pics earlier) and I too would love to see Costumes 11-- hoping it is different enough from 06 (the mauve) to justify a multiple! We all are always trying to improve our knotting skills too @jimmyshoogirl...Can't wait to see what you get.
Thank you so much for the analysis, dear LKBNOLA, I was torn between this and yours. Your advice with ivory and beige is excellent and I shall study Tea Time. More playtime today.:)

I have a feeling this one is going to be problematic. It’s so beautiful when most of the design is visible/flat, but that makes it a challenge to wear.…

Thank you, papertiger. That describes how I feel about it. Blue pinks used to look good an me and I have a cyclamon Aloha dd that works. Hmmm.

I'm in-love a different scarf, same colour family, and I think I will suffer the same issue.

My skin-tone is fair and fairly neutral, but that cyclamon looks very strong and dominant (in both scarves).

I just can't have a scarf where I have to hide or minimise certain bits. It would drive me nuts.
