Same here... Love the idea of giant triangle. Guess it would be very casual to throw on. I want one in Kachinas design but do not know which color to choose. All looks so good...![]()
I can't wait for Kachinas, too! I think the triangle format will be a great size to use as a shawl. I'm curious to see if the box will be a triangle, too. I have two pointus: one silk jersey (Covetures) and one special tafetta that has a charm on the end of a point (Pani) from Hermes 2011-2012 (I think those were the dates) that came in triangle boxes. My wonderful store said that these haven't come in yet. I know it will be worth the wait. I remember waiting, for what seemed like forever, for the Pani wash silk. Definitely worth the wait for that one.
Thank you for letting me know. I have to say that the triangular boxes are hard to store. I can't put them on the shelf that is eye level because I fear that I will be poked in the eye!I asked the exact same thing at my store and they told me they come in the regular 140/shawl box.
Truly exceptional!! [emoji7]Had some sleepless nights before pulling the trigger - but am over the moon that I finally did: Della Cavalleria exceptional. The beads are sooo tiny and the embroidery especially delicate. The sheen of the silk seems to be exceptional, too. Can't stop admiring this beauty:

Oh gosh... I failed to check the price... I was so captivated by the colorway and design! That was the only CW of Kachinas they had at the store... they’ve been so slow and limited this season! But, the orange one I think would be my choice anyway: First, because it’s stunning... and, second, because I own 3 Kachinas in the 90 (pink, cream and turquoise) so this one is nothing like the ones I have.
Well, the shade of pink is pretty true in the pictures because the natural light at the store is fantastic. There’s nothing salmony about it at all... It’s more like a cooler, icier pink and very saturated.
Thank you so much! I really liked this CW of Pivoines a lot.... I was surprised because I liked it way more than I thought I would. And, I already tried on the glacier blue and modeled it a few pages back. It is really stunning. But, if I had to choose, I would go with the cream background because the architectural features stand out more and the colors of the flowers are gorgeous and very versatile.... I think it would go great with navy and with denim and that’s a big plus for me. I agree with you that the architectural details are even more captivating than the flowers.
My pleasure! That Pivoines is fantastic IMO... The Kachinas is amazing but the only drawback for me is that with my height I feel almost engulfed by the fabric and felt very clumsy trying to tie it. Maybe I need more time to play around with it?
Same here. Gave up on the pink pivoines. I have enough and I don’t NEED it. But sure do love admiring when someone else here finds the scarf of their dreams.Annoyed, tired, and bored. I hear you. There was that one pale blue Pivoines that I really really really wanted, but I never saw IRL and now I've fallen out of love with the design (so difficult to tie) and the weird flat reverse side. I do like the Sweet Dreams in red/blue but, as others have said here and I'm very slowly starting to learn - lol, I just don't NEED it. The only piece I've kept is the Tree of Song twilly and it's actually still in the box after 3 weeks.
And the journey goes on... Anybody having intel when and where sweet dreams CW09 (the colorful one) is to be expected in Germany.... please please plase give me a hint.
I have to say that that pink pivoines scarf is not easy to tie at all. I wish I had appreciated that prior to ordering it. I love everything pink, so it was very hard to resist. Too many blank pink spaces on it for a newbie to be able to easily tie it properly to show off the wonderful details on it. I think it will probably look best paired with a navy or black shirt, so that there is some significant contrast to the light colors in the scarf. I am going to slow down considerably now and make more measured purchases. If Fifi says a scarf or shawl can be tied magnificently, even by an untalented scarf-tying newbie like me, I will take that as the very necessary endorsement I need to see, prior to purchasing it!Same here. That said...I caved and am giving the giant Kachinas a chance with only the online pics to guide me and am hoping for the best. (Though I have no shipping confirmation so successful procurement is not guaranteed yet...)
Which CW did you choose? I was in my boutique the other day and tried some of the Kachinas CW’s on - in retrospect, I should have taken some photos. I like bright colours so the jaune vif/fuschia/multicolore was my favourite.
The format of the scarf itself is lovely, it drapes in a lovely way and I think looks more modern when worn simply, maybe due to less volume. IMO, the silk itself feels a bit more velvetier than a regular scarf, in between silk and silk wash.
I’ll be popping past the boutique again at the end of the upcoming week, so can take some mod shots if needed!
