Thank you, dear fifi!

They wrinkle easier like the DipDyes, you squeeze your beauties too much!
Hahaha... I most certainly do! But, I’ve noticed that the silk twill doesn’t wrinkle nearly as much as the wash silks and I’m honestly hating that about them. I have a couple on my wishlist but haven’t pulled the trigger because I’ve been bothered by that feature.

Hopiko, your pictures inspired me to order Equateur in the rose vif color way. Why? Because it is a glorious, bright pink color, and I could not resist it, even though I kept trying to convince myself to purchase it in the aqua, which I also love (along with the light pink, and black). What a tough decision! I may weaken before this evening is over to go back for either the aqua or the light pink!

Dear scarfies, I’m seriously considering another carré wash after my purchase of Coupé de Gala last season. I love the velvety, soft and vintage feel of the silk but one thing that I’ve hated is that I feel that they wrinkle easier and deeper than silk twill. I’d appreciate anyone’s input on this because sometimes I feel that it has to do with the often complex and convoluted knots I try with my scarves. But, this is an issue that has somewhat bothered me about these wash silks.

They do tend to show the wrinkles more easily fairly new but I don't think it's a permeant feature. I should think the fact they have no starch (unlike the twills) maybe the reason. My vintage style 70s were also prone to that when newer. I also don't like how the Wash scarves are scrunched up in basket as part of an H display.

I hope someone who's had theirs a while (or from last season) can shed more light on the issue.

Good point... Thank you! I’ve had mine since last season and have worn it a few times and I find the wrinkles to be more set in. But, I asked in this forum because I know that I really fold and twist my silks into intricate knots and thought it was just me.

I hope we hear more about this. It seems then a simple knot should be fine but something more intricate will leave creases? I wonder if the creases will release when washed...:wondering:

I'm sure. Roll it in a towel when wet and hang it, you won't even need to iron. It'll prob act like an old vintage scarf when dry again too, they lose their creases. I don't think we have to be worried about these scarves, they feel thicker than my dip dye (and that's been in the washing machine twice). They feel as thick as my 1950s vintage and that over 60 years old.

But it'll be a good job we can put these in the wash because like the lighter dip dyes I'm pretty sure they will attract more dirt

My newest additions Animapolis in two color ways and L’Art du Bojagi. I can wear all three of these with my vert cypress!!

I am pining for L’Art du Bojagi in this colorway. Did you get it in the US? It’s not on the website and the Boston store doesn’t have this particular colorway. I’m hoping that if you purchased it in the US, the Boston store can source one for me. Enjoy yours!

Twins with me too! (Aqua)

Just want to reassure those that have not seen them yet there's nothing dull in the aqua, orange, bright pink cws and I had to reach all levels of self-control not to buy 'Lavande'. Just think Sur Tient without the over-dye. I think they're a good buy if you've missed out on the Equateur in other formats in recent years. I'm a 90s girl and think the cws/design will suit Summer so I'm glad this one came along.

How is the pale pink one? I am trying to decide between pale pink, aqua or lavande in a bit of a price increase scare.

L’art du Bojagi in cw02. No knot, just folded in a triangle and wrapped around my neck. Pardon my appearance—if waited until I looked perfect I would never post a pic. This a very versatile scarf. I’m wearing it with an Under Armour sweatshirt, but it also looks wonderful with a dressier top. Each corner has something different. I would have never considered this had I not seen it in person.
I am so jealous. This (and Sieste) was my one "must-have" for the season. It feels like everyone's store got it in stock, whereas my store and website haven't seen a sign of it. I am really anxious to get my hands on the same colorway as Croisette!

I hate wrinkles too. Silk fibers can kink permanently (which is how the plisses work). It may seem
sacrilegious to many scarfies, but I blast my scarves with a shot of steam and use a wooden clapper to press out any creases.

The two things to be careful of are: (1) water spray and (2) making sure it's clean so that you don't set any stains. I use a silk organza press cloth to alleviate the former. I think that the pressing is better for the scarves than the potential damage causes by permanent creases.

So do I. And importantly, on the 'wrong side' or back of the fabric.

The pink is very pale shell pnk. Very pretty but very pale.

Lavender appears almost periwinkle overall IRL. Harmonious but clear border (unlike other two CWs under consideration)

Aqua is strong but so is the colouring of the animal detail.

I noticed that my Pierres wrinkled a lot more more than a regular silk twill would after wearing it just once, but I simply ironed it before putting it away. I do that with many silks too — I will give them an iron or a steam between wears. I don’t think the wrinkled will set in if you do that, although it is a bit of a hassle. Putting some sizing on might help prevent some wrinkling as well.

Did anyone get the green and brown Pierres? I like the earth colors. Would love a mod shot.

I hang the 90s and CSGMs over the door after vertically folding and have found that any wrinkles drop out overnight. Then I promptly put them in their boxes to store. Granted I don't do a lot of intricate knotting. The other factor is since I work at home and put them on when I'm going out to look a tad more put together, the scarf isn't being worn all day long either, so maybe that is why the overnight hanging works for me. Anyone else do this too?

Thank you so much for the detailed description and analysis. Still undecided but now leaning towards aqua.
