I like the lighter one but the darker one seems to be a better fit in your collection. That statement seems to be of no help!!They both look good on you!
![]()
The 02 with the orange tee is just glorious on you. The lightness and brightness of that one, along with the contrast between the light neutral background and the popping colors, is SO fresh and summery. You rock them both though!
Vote for CW2, I think it fits slightly better. You also have at least 3 other scarves in your collection with orange/green combo.
Both are good on you. I prefer the lighter one, if forced to choose. Thanks for showing them!
Faubourg Rainbow H893331S in CW 02 bougainvillier/jaune/vert and CW 08 corail/fuchsia/multicolor (also shared by weN, I think...)SOS Scarflandia!
Flying the flag for team Pocket Square today.
Last week, I ordered the 2 color ways of Faubourg Rainbow 45cm when they came up online and was surprised they got delivered today as I was expecting tomorrow because of the holiday. I was also expecting it to be a dead easy 5 minute decision to make once I saw the colors in person (because I already had half made up my mind about which one I thought I'd prefer) but now I am going to have to ponder pretty seriously (ie- try them with different shirts) and so I figure I'll share some pics here (and maybe get some opinions, if you care to...) Pocket squares are mainly for summer wearing for me....

Animapolis is such a great design! Love the first one on you. And the last Sieste with the beige trees is gorgeous! Did you decide on any yet?So we all knew this was going to be a TERRIBLE season ... for our wallets! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
My H finally got some SS scarves in so I went to check it out this afternoon. I wound up very very surprised. I had the opposite problem as BBC just above this post - I fell in love with a scarf I had NO desire for when I first saw it flat. It’s one that many of you have oohed and ahhhed over and while I admired it on others, I did not like it for myself.
Yes, dear reader, it’s Animapolis! I thought it was way too busy and the reptiles were a major turn off - plus Godzilla takes up so much real estate. I heard my wallet heave a huge sigh of relief.
Well, I couldn’t resist trying it on in the store. Why not? I’d just be confirming that it’s not one for me. Well, whoa Nelly!!! It was a shock, a revelation!
![]()
![]()
However, this cw wasn’t as nice on me as the first one:
![]()
I also saw the Duels design (can’t remember the whole name). This was just a “meh” on me, and it’s not just because the lighting is so yellow in the store:
![]()
But omg Sieste!!! The dark blue is divine, but I have one dilemma. I’m not crazy about the red contrast hem. This isn’t the best photo - it looks 100% better in real life:
![]()
I’ve always thought that I’d have to love every aspect of a scarf for me to buy full price - my heart better be weeping for joy! So in the past, I passed on a few designs because I didn’t love the hem color. Now I regret it! Example: that pastel cw of Hippopolis. It had a light yellow hem that I just didn’t care for. Now I’d kill to find that scarf! Another example: the giant Terres Precieuses in purple from a couple of years ago. I passed because of the yellow hem, even though I loved everything else about it. So here I am, again dithering over whether I’d be happy with a hem color I’m not crazy about... Has this ever happened to you? Am I being too neurotic???
Lastly, another cw of Sieste. Gorgeous, too, but I don’t like the beige on the trees. (Mind you, I am being super nitpicky because there are just too many amazing goodies this season and I have to have a way to control myself!)

I am dying try the cws that Pautinka and FugitiveRouge and Festus have!
This is such a dynamic and vibrant design... especially in the bright CWd like yours. I have exactly thisnone on my list and can’t wait to try it on IRL... Gorgeous!Just in to the boutique and my SA saved this for my B/D yesterday.
Pierres et Cristaux Carre Wash in cw 09

I love the design & the colours ( I've been a rockhound since I was a little girl) but must admit that I am not keen on this finish to the silk. I was actually a bit shocked by the "look" of the Carre Wash. The texture is beautiful for tying but IMHO the scarf already looks old & used, especially the hems! If you have any old & vintage scarfs like I do, it reminds me of those well used scarfs from 40 years ago that you might find at a resellers and then need to decide if the price/amount of wear balances. That said, Equateur is my favourite H-design ever, so I am sure I will be bringing another Carre Wash home!
I've also noted that some posters prefer to wear busy patterns against just black, but for me part of the fun with H-scarfs is to try to "match" them with other patterned pieces in my wardrobe. The jacket also works with my Animalpolis in cw 5 ( the orange/vert already posted)
I am so intrigued by Esprit de la Foret... This CW is amazing... I would love to see modeling shots if possible... Congrats! These two Beauty’s are my first step into the new seasons collection [emoji7]
Harnais de timon AVEC L‘esprit de la Foret
so in love with a bright orange/pink/coral color so they are the perfect start [emoji7]
The lighting is a little bit dark, please excuse me.
if somebody is interested I can take photos tomorrow in daylight which can show the color better [emoji5] just tell me [emoji5]
Thanks for letting me share [emoji5]

It is amazing! Love the toile look...Thank you all (and for all the likes)! I agree it is reminiscent of Jardin de Leila. I think that's another reason why I love Cabanes. I also love tJardin de Leila. Here is a comparison shot with my Jardin de Leila.

Wore « L'Art du Sarasa » for the first time.
cw 08 jaune vif/orange/multicolore
This cw was not initially on my wishlist.
I guess there is some color overlap, but the format is completely different, and the design in this format just gives a completely different vibe to the Pocket square 02.Thank you all! It was a pleasure to add some mod shots for future reference as we don't often get to see the mod shots of the pocket squares to help in the decision making process.
I'm gonna sleep on it, because they both look nice, and also both of them have some color overlap with other summer items i have. The purple and yellow one is at loggerheads with this summer piece...while the other overlaps the Pique Fleuri....so I'll toss a coin in the morning after sleeping on it because like y'all I could go either way easily....Thank you!

Faubourg Rainbow H893331S in CW 02 bougainvillier/jaune/vert and CW 08 corail/fuchsia/multicolor (also shared by weN, I think...)
They both look great but I think I prefer the purple cw 02 on you. However, I have Pegase Pop in rouge/bleu/jaune, and took a look at it to compare, and agree with you that cw 08 corail/fushia/etc. conveys a similar "look" to the Pegase Pop, so that would be the one if that's what you're going for. Obviously, I'm no help whatsoever......Good luck choosing!
I guess there is some color overlap, but the format is completely different, and the design in this format just gives a completely different vibe to the Pocket square 02.
I think there is more overlap in color between pique fleuries and CW 08. Although 08 may be slightly more summery vibe.
No help at all! I think you will be happy with either.
That is a tough one. Flat I would have chosen the first one, but worn both have their own different way of being psycedelicaly glorious.SOS Scarflandia!

Spectacular!Another tie![]()
Great choice... I am loving this blue CW!Went to look at the Spring/Summer scarves today. Thought I would begin with Animoplis. Loved all the cws. I noticed different animals & characters are prominent in each cw. It was tough deciding which one to take. Though the design is the same, each cw has its own beauty.
![]()
I began with this![]()
It is neutral and can be worn with many things I own
I can see where one could collect multiples of this design
And I like this design so much... finally saw the pink one online and took it without a blink. Called customer service to see if any store has cw14, and was told that more will arrive in 3 weeks. Guess that's after the price adjustment.![]()
Love the idea of using it as a map... Love it tied!In love... Amoureux de Paris CW01. In case got lost in Paris, I can use it as a map.![]()

What?! All of them? Lucky!! You must post them for us to see!Pivoines is my hands down favorite of the season....I rarely buy multiple colourways...but I fell completely down the slope and bought them all!!
This is spectacular!!AnnaE, I don't think I'll find it tricky at all, although I'm waiting for slightly springier weather before I take it on its maiden voyage. I did think about that question when I tried it on as well, because it is such a seemingly delicate object. Here's my reasoning as to why I'll still feel carefree about wearing it:
1. I've often found with H that the more fine and delicate something looks, the harder it wears. Thinking about my scarf collection, some of my hardiest pieces are the thinnest: my mousselines are tough as nails (excepting the last couple of years which have been much more prone to snags in my experience), and the Altai "Plaid" blankets that I wear as wraps are still perfect in spite of a razor-thin, open weave. Here's a comparison between the Vibrato Plume and one of my Altais.
View attachment 4317020
The Altai is 100% cashmere and a slightly different weave, but it's the size of a full-size mattress yet made so that it can be pulled through a small wooden ring, so you can imagine how delicate it feels. I've worn it on planes, trains, subways, through careless crowds, sitting on a log at a campfire, recklessly stuffed it in bags with my keys-- you name the shawl crime and I've committed it-- and the threads haven't budged in years of wearing it hard. My CSGMs should take lessons from it!
2. Looking carefully at the Vibrato Plume, you can see its handmade nature: the fine threads aren't all pushed perfectly together, some of them have tiny little waves, etc. I really like this about it, that I can see the role of a human hand in working on the loom. Somehow it also makes me more comfortable with the idea that a thread or two might move a little during the natural course of events.
3. It's a busy pattern and I think its play of colors and shimmers will camouflage just about any flaws that crop up. As long as I'm comfortable potentially knowing one is there (and I am), I don't feel worried other people will see anything amiss.
4. My SA said worst-case scenario, it can be sent back to Nepal for repair. I doubt it'll come to that, but it's a nice thing to know!
5. The price-to-beauty ratio in this piece is (for me) favorable enough that I won't lambaste myself over the lost money if an accident befalls the shawl. If it were three times the price, that might be another story.
All that being said, it would certainly be possible to hook something through the weave, yank, and create a big gap of shifted threads at best or a hole at worst. I haven't encountered situations like that in my scarf-wearing, but if I knew that was my particular type of scarf-risk, I would perhaps think twice (@dharma mentioned doggie nails upthread, and that strikes me as a very valid concern).
So when the weather turns a little brighter, I'm planning on getting lots of use out of this piece. My thought is that it'll be especially handy for evenings that get cooler as the night goes on. On such occasions I might start out wearing the Vibrato as a stole:

They both look fab. What a hard decision. However! What I would do to have a fun scarf trying on night with everyone here! Yours looks so much fun. I had to do this recently to decide on animapolis and it was so fun but all alone. I need a store fix soon.
Oops, correction, I meant to say 08 - the corail / multicolor one with the light grey background. Anyway they are both great on you.The 02 with the orange tee is just glorious on you. You know what? I really should go for it. This design is definitely calling my name. It is fantastic! Whichever you choose will be awesome because I’ve studied all the CWs and they’re all great... But that CW2! Sigh...They are psychedelically fantastic!
hee hee...you should cave and get a pocket square! I think you'd enjoy the format!

I'm no help with myself either! Really- gonna flip a coin, or make a spreadsheet or something with pros an cons to each...lol...Or pack them both up and sticks return label on one and see which one I end up with....we'll see...I really will like either. I think @shrpthorn hit the nail on the head. I will have to decide if finding my alternate for the missed Pegase Pop will win out or not.![]()
