To add on some context, I have spent 3x-4x but have been waiting for one first qb still since Jan. Thinking if I should spend at 2 stores just so I can get 2 per year still since wait times are so long

That's an awful lot of spend. Are you at the takashimaya store? I think the takashimaya store wait is longer. I have not tried spreading qb across stores.

My husband I both created an account with the same SA. Not sure if is because of that my SA tend to keep pretty good stuff for us. Double commission from us.

I see, in this scenario do you get offered double qbs (ideally) per pax at the same store?

Hey Polly but that means you need to start a relationship all over again and spend across categories at the second store with your new SA. Your QB2 + prespend = around $60-80K.

Why don’t you (a) just go ahead and buy a BK directly from a reseller at say $30K or (b) continue with your SA and roll over for QB2 this year?

And errrr must you get 2 bags a year? Is two bags that important or you rather build your collection along the way and pick choice colours, leather and hardware and at the same time, take a less aggressive approach and slowly accumulate items you love in your H collection? This is a personal qn you have to make I guess. Like why is 2 QBs a year so important? If money is no issue then I guess it’s fine but most of us are working professionals and surely there must be a more healthy approach we can take.

On the topic of 2 QBs a year - is this something that everyone is gunning for or am I mad to tell my SA “it’s ok, we will skip the 2nd one in 20222 if we can’t get the specs. I will wait for next year”.

To clarify, this means my prespend is rolled over but I forfeit QB2 2022. In 2023, my quota is 2 QBs (not 3). But I get have what I really want in 2023. It’s a healthier pace for me coz I don’t anyhow accept a QB that i don’t want. Just me la. And I rejected mini Lindy twice too. Why does a gal need so many new bags a year when we go to office 2-3 times a week!! Did I call out more elephants in the room - why do SG customers want so many new bags a year LOL!!!

Hey, how come I hear of so many people who were offered mini lindy? Haha.. I haven't been offered any non Quota bags at all, even though I'm waiting on my third Qb. Nothing. No non Qbs.

Were they offered to you or did you say you wanted a mini lindy but what she brought out didn't suit your specs?

My SA offered Mini Lindy twice without me prompting / asking (i.e., never mentioned that I wanted one). Turned them down because budget. But it could be an SA thing, cos my SA is the more bubbly kind who likes to ask me to try / consider stuffs that I don't have (e.g., pink RTW...).

Maybe in my first year I asked but I never mentioned it ever again but my SA offered proactively. It didn’t even go on to seeing the colour/bag coz I flat out said no. Not because I’m unappreciative but i really don’t know what I’m going to do with so many barely used bags.

Your SA will be able to see what you purchase at the other store and if you spend more at 1 store and lesser at the other, you know... 1 of your store SA might not be delighted and less proactive in keeping good stuffs for you. Suggest you use another name for another profile at another store, close friends, family etc...

I told my SA upfront that I want 4 QB a year hahaha. So she say is my choice how I wanna do it. Honestly, it has not been that easy waiting for a QB. I started a profile with my husband first and because his account I spend more money I tend to get better stuff. For my own account, I started this year and I’m still waiting for my 1st QB (a mysore MK).

But I did mention to my SA that I wanna tried getting 4 QB this year.

Actually, I would go ahead & try building new profile (different name) in different store. I mean, on paper it does make sense! You will spread the prespend in 2 store, instead of accumulating 3-4x in 1 store & cant rollover anyway. Then might as well "use" that prespend in another store & have higher chance (of cos nothing is absolute) to get a QB. You will be able to spread your visits better too, not too often in 1 particular store.

But of cos, execution-wise on the ground, it's double the trouble. U'll need to manage rs with 2 SA, take note of 2 separate wishlists & items u bought (bcos i wear most of the items my SA gave me). So you might want to keep some stuffs a secret from the other SA (like leading double life haha).

While I personally won't do it, bcos i know i couldn't keep up with the expenses if i go with 2 stores, but I guess if money is not much of an issue to spend in 2 different stores & ur meticulous enuf to take note of the items, i'd give it a try really
