I was quoted a 14 month waiting time, hence I didn't proceed.

Thanks for sharing all your ordering experiences! It's insane how much free cash flow they must get from all these deposits...
Lesson learned to never order anything that could be time-sensitive. These were meant to be wedding gifts but I guess I have to keep them for myself.

Time sensitive also means plan to use ordered items to meet pre spending.

Can be very frustrating.

would love to get some advice. I visited the store of my choice today and was keen to get a timepiece. I am also hoping to slowly work towards getting my first Quota Bag, but not by purchasing items that i dont like just to get the bag. The SA who served me was nice and shared the details about the history etc, which i enjoyed as i tend to purchase base on heritage or small details. Unfortunately, the options in store today was limited.

She mentioned about the custom event, gave me her card with no personal line and told me to call the hotline. I did ask if I should quote her name, thinking it would be better since she did show me the watch sizes but she said it was not necessary. I understand from the past posts that some SAs do have too much to handle and would rather not take on another client.
Am now in a dilemma with regards to booking a slot and if I should request for her, or to go and be randomly assigned based on whoever is on shift .

P.s I did visit another outlet last year and another SA gave me her card with mobile line on the first visit.

Would appreciate some advice, TIA!

no, non quota bags dun require any prespend, however it may delay your QB.

depends on which outlet. at LT, it is more strict, so in between any bags, some kind of "cooling period" is advised by SA. I think MBS is rather relaxed ie. won't impact the QB. and I'm not sure about Taka.

in case anyone is keen, there is a burgundy (I did not ask the colour name) Geta in Liat Tower that can be bought. SAs are letting customers try it out but must wear gloves.

Very true. All depends on SA and store. General guideline for this year, it seems like it’s 1 non-QB and 2 QB per year with sufficient pre-spend. 6 months between QB but if you have a special SA, it could be different.

She did suggest a workaround if I really wanted another bag….just bring your father/mother/husband along to start another profile.

But the 2nd non-QB is a men’s bag which I waited since 1 year ago so I said, we will deal with it if it comes…. I’m not hopeful at all.
