Hi ladies, would appreciate any insights on this. I met an SA to purchase 2pairs of shoes via walk in. During that same purchase I’ve also expressed interest in a non-quota bag and I left my name in the Q. I’ve not shopped with her since as I’ve found another SA that I’m more comfortable with. Recently I asked that SA whom I’ve only met once to purchase 2 pairs of shoes about the status of my bag and I was told that there isn’t any “queue” and she couldn’t advise me on how long exactly as she told me, quoted in her own words “it’s not 100% that you’ll get it”. Now I’m puzzled, aren’t we all allowed to have 1 bag on waitlist and that to get that bag is just a matter of time?
I really don’t wish to be waiting in vain…
Personally, I never thought that there was any “waitlist” for bags, quota or non-quota.

For non-quota bags, in my mind, it’s more like the SA notes that you are interested in a particular bag and if there is stock, and the SA remembers your request and is so inclined, will try to get it for you.

I think u will need to read up about the exclusiveness of customer-SA relationship and how bags are in terms of sales to an SA.

My name is in the q for a non quota bag since Aug last year. Just when my SA and I thought the bag isn’t coming anymore, it arrived at the store recently and I picked it up.

After reading this thread, one can easily imagine a gaggle of people wearing their oran sandals, pop H earings, finesse pendant, click H bracelet, customised cape cod watch, and a "KTG"/"CTG" in hand, while knocking on the door for their "QB" and "ML".

It's a caricature - and people still wonder why many Hermes SAs can't be bothered.
How can one be seen when everyone looks the same...?

I have been waiting for a particular bag for more than a year. I know it’s coming as I saw it in the system several times. However, the demand for quota bags are so high such that Hermes is not assigning much resources to make the non-quota bags. I am still waiting too.

Sometimes it is faster to get a quota bag than a non-quota bag in Hermes.

Oh that's totally over my budget. I am more like building a profile gradually and thought that the price of arceau 36mm is still relatively good value and i can share with my wife.
If i may, u can consider trying cape cod or heure H too. I share with hubby on my cape cod 29. It’s ard 5k+ & it’s alrdy automatic. I think heure H price also ard there, but not really sure tho. Bcos i plan to customise heure H this year. Hubby is fine with heure H too!
So if u see these watches lying ard in the store, u shd grab it. It will boost ur profile. And the leather straps can be changed later on. Dun worry so much on the color
