Hi everyone, I would like to share some good news! My SA called today and said “good news, your birkin is here” :biggrin: TMI, I spent more than 16k in less than a month and waited for exactly 3 months. The specs I gave were b25 gold togo with gold hardware. Thought I would have to wait forever as it is a very popular combination and my SA has many clients asking for it:sad: at least it’s finally my turn now:P

Congrats!!!!!!!! Awwwwwww. Can’t wait for you to share pics of your bag soon! Did your SA agree to get gold on gold straightaway once you’ve hit 16kor have she tried to offer you other combis within that last 3 months? :)

Trying to hit my quota soon and wld really want a RGHW birkin. Thinking if it’s ok to tell my SA my exact specs, and if its ok to reject colors or hardware that i dont like?

yessssss when I hit my quota in store he just said “oh I remember you don’t like rose confetti anymore. Any colours that you like that I can help you put in for your wish list?” Then he took a pic of the list in my iPhone notes haha and he actually keeps them cause he showed it to me on his phone a few times after. He offered me gold togo with silver hardware in b25 one month later but I rejected it as all my Jewelry and shoes hardwares are in gold!! He did tell me before that it’s ok to reject if I don’t like what he offers me, cause he wants me to spend on stuff that I actually like. Btw I also gave a list of colours with the hardware combination and leather I wanted very specifically. But I told him my number 1 choice is gold on gold togo in b25 and to only look at others if I couldn’t get one haha. I think he knows I love gold Colour too so he didn’t offer me bags in other colours. Also he did tell me that gold on gold is the most popular neutral combination in the most popular size so I would have to wait if I wanted it. And I think it’s true cause past two times I visited him he had a few customers randomly turn up in store without an appointment and just went to him to ask for a gold birkin 25 while he was serving me. When I asked what happened, he told me that everyone wants the same bag you want. I had to tell her no stock cause I really don’t have it yet. And apparently the customers only bought a few items so they weren’t eligible for wish list but he had to tell them politely he would let them know if it arrives. I also did tell him it’s ok and I could even wait a year or so for a gold b25 and he told me it wouldn’t be THAT long, at most 6 months or sooner.

please tell your SA the exact specs so they can keep a lookout for you and fight for your bag for you. Don’t waste their time allocating a bag to you in that size and colour and turns out it’s not the leather or hardware you want HAHA. Also despite SAs working in Hermes, they know money is hard to earn and they would also want to help their clients get the bags they want. So I think it’s fine to reject what you don’t want!! No SA will fault you for that. The problem comes when you reject something you asked your SA for. Then you’re wasting their time:sad:

So exciting reading your reply!! I really enjoy H’s products across all departments so I really don’t mind the wait for my dream bag (I have a few different combinations) while shopping for other items. My only concern is I’ve heard from my bestie, I’m unable to reject an offer and if I did, I won’t be offered again. It’s reassuring hearing from you that it’s ok to turn down politely on combinations I’m not keen in. :)

Omg so exciting and so lucky to get gold on gold!! You’ve inspired me to stay true to my dream combination no matter how long the wait will be. I can tell from your excitement that it is worth the wait!! Can’t wait to see photos of your new baby. Congrats on a gorgeous combination!

Hmm I don’t really shop with the clear aim of getting quota bag but I just buy things I like (as you know stock of items are unpredictable). It’s more relaxing this way and I’ll just shop slowly until my SA asks for my wishlist (that’s when I know it’s time for a bag).
