Hello everyone!

I am a relative hermes newbie based in UK but originally from sgp.

I jst read this thread and am quite intrigued about how much you have to 'invest' to get an hermes bag in sgp. I usually get bits and bobs in Taka and have asked to be waitlsted for a birkin. They've rung me up about another bag but not the one I want. The wait is pretty painful and am currently thinking of alternate methods to get hold of one.

Hanyeu, I popped by georgesV and FSH about 2-3 wks ago one tues and wed, was told they didnt have any birkins (which was obviously not true as I've seen several TPF members showing off their new birkins from abt the same time I went!). I am envious that you've managed to score a few as walk-ins! To be fair, I only popped by in-store once before sauntering off to lanvin & chanel, perhaps I should have put in more effort and gone in again in the afternoon. Have you got any tips about how to get one via a walk-in? I might try again sometime before Aug if time permits and would be happy with any advice.:smile1:

Failing which I might try to get one from Tokyo despite the higher prices.
I have seen so many beautiful birkins and kellys around. I want one too! :(

On another note, got a sweet lil pink PM garden party with matching twilly today. Love it!:love::love:

there is a thread called "Newbie's Question on How to get birkin" ... it should answer most of your questions!

Seeing that you are in UK and closer to Paris than most of us, with some hard work (yes, you do need it), you should have better chance than any of us here in Asia to get a birkin.

Good luck!

P.S. My only thing to add is DON"T BUY ANYTHING with the HOPE that it will get you a birkin. BUY WHAT YOU WANT/LIKE, not anything else!

eheheh....the robee disease is deadly, it makes the inflicted person buy what he/she wants, likes, and everything else. And of course, inflicted person still hopes to get a birkin. LOL

yup, have read that thread to death hanyeu but yes I need to put in more effort rather than just waltzing about the stores! I just never have the time. Probably need to get a pad in knightsbridge dedicated to hermes hunting.

robee disease sounds deadly... I've been warned and am hopeful not to get infected.
Have a good day!

should also add, with current technology, there is NO VACCINE for this disease. Also can be spread not just by air but also electronically, particularly over the internet!

Hi, does the SG Hermes boutiques provide spa service? I'm contemplating getting a pre-loved Kelly which requires some work done.

Alternatively, will be dropping by UK and Paris a few mths later, should I bring the bag over there for spa service instead? But I understand it might take weeks or months...and I'd only be there for a week only. So that's not feasible right?

There is a craftslady at Liat - send it in there.

She should be able to refurbish the bag totally on her own. Even if she can't, it's better for the store to send it to Paris for you.
