Amazing! Come to think of it, I haven't seen normal leather Lindy (except for travel Voyage) on the Taipei shelves for awhile!

But there are a few croc Lindys... :graucho: KaLindy kept dreaming about them!

What little croc Lindys we have also get snapped up really fast :D
Liat's inventory is usually bad if you only count those on the shelves - most of the goods are either in the back or already spoken for ;)

MrsRance, I am not from Singapore but I believe, in general, it is impossible to get any birkins in Singapore/Hong Kong/Taiwan. All three countries have a long waitlist (as in 3-7 years!) for birkin buyers who are ready to snap them up at full retail prices with some paying premium to buy from resellers.

Unless you have a SUPER VVVVIP connection to any of the stores, I sincerely doubt it. Other SG tpfers may chime in but this is my understanding.

I think your best bet will be in Japan where there should be birkins galore!

Birkins are very sought after, ESPECIALLY, in Japan. Japan contributes close to a quarter of Hermes' sales. They should have very high Birkin quotas there and thus makes it easier to find Birkins on the shelves, including exotics. The delayed economic recovery in Japan is perhaps also contributing to the ease of scoring Birkins there.

in addition to what MrsSparkles has said, prices in Japan are also much higher than other Asian countries (not that they are relying on tourist consumption for their birkin quota!), but in total agreement, that there is a big market for both NEW as well as second hand Hermes items in Japan.

but i believe Australia also has quite good selection of highly sought after items, such as birkins, in their inventory, most like due to the local culture (not into designer goods) as well as higher prices.

You do not need to be a VIP to score a Birkin in SG. You need to have a good relationship with an SA here.

There's a Toile H available too.

OHHHHH... nice spy photos! I love the GP! and Lindy!:nuts::nuts:

You do not need to be a VIP to score a Birkin in SG. You need to have a good relationship with an SA here.

I spoke to one of the SAs in Liat Towers previously about 2 months back and she said that she just joined hermes about 3 months ago, and there was a hierarchy where the most senior SAs get the birkins for their regulars, and only if their regulars reject it would the more junior SAs get a chance to call their regulars!

Sorry if i sound like an idiot but i was wondering how do you get a very good birkin relationship with an SA if you do not spend quite a bit at the store, as they can get pretty friendly with you but buying a belt here and a bracelet there does not help in getting a birkin. one of the SAs actually told me that you have to spend quite a substantial sum before you can move up the birkin waiting list!!

I need to know how to get my hands on that birkin! Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks! :)

Is it the same SA (just joined 3 months ago) who told you this?

You may want to try getting a birkin overseas, it is faster, cheaper and cause you less stress if you are not into buying other things from Hermes.
