Hi, just joined this forum & I agree with kavnadoo

I had the same experience afew weeks ago too.

Anyway, I vote Hermes at DFS, the SA's are always so warm, attentive and personable.

i agree with the two posters above... i didn't have good experiences at the taka H store twice recently. shawn, if you are a regular there, you should feedback to them to step up their customer service and have less of that snotty attitude.

wow, Kav, i didnt realise u were from Sg, or were u just on holidays in Sg? :p

I have never been to any boutiques in Sg. But have always visited H-boutique at the airport. The SAs there are generally pretty helpful and friendly. I have even rang to check on stocks before, and the SA sounded really enthusastic, and cheerful. Maybe im lucky to catch them at the right time. ANd maybe it's a facade they need to put up to the international visitors :p

i think every single SA is someone's favourite

one who isn't mine doesn't mean he or she is no good at customer service :) even those i'm not so familiar with would probably be lovely if we had a chance to work at a relationship. too bad i don't have the finances for that.

kavnadoo: Well, most of the time i shop at taka cos its more convinient for me. Nevertheless, the service at DFS is excellent. You may wish to note that H@DFS always stock somethings that the Liat and Taka don't.

Its always nice surprise shopping at DFS! :yahoo:

I agree loves, like I have received the best and worst service in the same store. I don't like to make blanket judgements and can only speak from my own experience. I am sure if I walked in a few more times there is bound to be a chance I will receive excellent service. No one was rude to me, as I said there were few customers and more SA's, just wasn't acknowledged or approached when I needed help. It's not a bad thing, worst service I've received was back home when an SA refused to let me have a look at a bag and just kept telling me to try another store.

sl yes I agree with DFS. Was there today and found something the other stores didn't have and I am spewing I didn't bring my CC. Might have to get a friend to buy it and ship it to me when I get home.

felle I'm on holidays. ;)

Personally to me the Taka service has improved. I used to be ignored as well, but the past 2 experiences I had there has altered my opinion about their attitude a little. They are slowly warming up (to me, at least) and were willing to pull out things to show me.

I am hesitant to name a favorite SA, or "vote" for one (implying there's a competition, there isn't), because as loves pointed out - I think there would be a good relationship with all the SAs if I had the time, inclination and funds to initiate one with each of them.

I do find the service @ Taka a bit disappointing, if you carry non H bag, they wont even bother asking you whether you need help, its like you are invisible!!!
Its a different story when you do carry H bag, they will smile and greet u as soon as you step inside, its disgusting!

Since when Taka H has a good customer service? Unless u r VIP in which they do serve them well, normal customers or walk in customers are pretty much hopeless in getting what they want. They are also very judgemental. This is worst H store I would say. Even HK and Macau H are way better. Anyone visiting H in Singapore, just go Liat Tower and DFS. No no for Takashimaya!!

I truly think that the SAs in Taka have attitude problem. They ignore the normal customers even when the store is empty. There are so many SAs standing around when i walked in and none of them has the courtesy to greet you and ask you if they can be of any help. Please note that I was carrying a birkin when I walked in there. I guess they will only greet their VIP customers. Bad service!!!

Prior to 2009, I would have agreed with you.

I don't know if it's the result of the economy per se (or not, maybe someone at management just kicked them a little, service-wise), but in the past year I have gotten fairly good service. There was one instance where my experience was GREAT with a particular SA.

So I would say, give them another chance. Go in knowing what you what. They may surprise you (as they surprised me) :smile1:

And no, I haven't actually bought any thing from that store!

LOL ... maybe pyrexia, but I doubt it. I am now enjoying well established relationship with H in Singapore Liat and DFS stores as well Hong Kong and Sydney ... since 2005 until now ... how many chances do they need? We are customers at the end of the day. No excuses.

While I won't type the name, I miss one SA who has since worked at Harry Winston. But then, things have to change sometime. It's a good excuse for me...maybe not.:push:
