I agree. One of my previous SA is super adamant not to entertain any referrals from me. So, better to ask the SA before any introduction or tagging along.

I agree with everyone else who has commented on this.

Based on my own experience and from what I have heard, I would not recommend that you ask your friend. I would like to chime in to share my experience:

1. 9 years ago, I tagged along with my friend to her appointment at Scotts Square. At the end of the appointment, her SA gave me his name card. My friend yelled at me in store for accepting the name card. She accused me of being opportunistic and claimed that I was trying to compete with her for bags. Safe to say, we are no longer friends.

2. Clearly, I have not learnt my lesson. A friend asked to be introduced to my SA. I checked with my SA and she declined to be introduced. Guess who got accused of being selfish and trying to gatekeep SA details?

3. I helped a friend purchase a mini Evelyn once. When another friend found out, she threw a fit and scolded me for not helping her buy one. She then demanded that I help her get a K28 to make things up to her.

I realized that people lose their sanity over Hermes bags. I don't know if my experiences are indeed blessings in disguise, but I know that it was definitely not worth the drama.

I think you should start getting new friends >.< cos it’s quite obvious they are pretty selfish and only think of themselves . Hee

Definitely agree that @charminghorse should speak to her friend beforehand.

IMO, depends on how close your friendship is too. If it’s a close girlfriend, I’ve done a few tag-along before (but I’ve informed my SA beforehand). Your close friend may or may not agree. If it’s not a close friend, I’d say just go into one of the stores on a weekday afternoon (non-PH) and establish a new SA relationship yourself. It’s really not that daunting since you’re asking for a GP (non-quota). And guessing from the fact that you’re asking on this forum, she’s prob not a close gf so best to avoid any potential conflicts.

And to add on - if your friend says no, pls do not ask for a HP number instead. That’s even worse. My SA confided in me once that someone gave her number away without asking her and she was basically “harassed” by this stranger. Context is that I was asking my SA F2F if I could bring a friend for my next appt and she thanked me for being considerate to ask her. Then she shared what happened.

Today I randomly texted my SA for a Lindy 26 because I wanted a low key bag for work. Did not have my hopes up as I requested for Roulis 18 multiple times but was not offered. Who knows he immediately offered me a ML in the exact colour combi I requested. So lucky perhaps it’s easier to get a ML now? Was previously never interested in a ML and never requested for it but I changed my mind recently.

As in you have spent approximately 1:1 mini Lindy price so far post your last qb? So this is something I always cannot get because I always thought if we have relationship with a boutique sa with spending, we can request for non quota bags from time to time. But I also heard from some sa that all non quota bags need some spending and there is some deduction. Wonder which is true.

Btw are you able to rollover purchases while waiting for qb?

Yes I spent more than 1:1. I also read before that ML needs 1:1 spending from other pfers here, and seems like there are other requirements like having few bags worth of purchase history ? not sure if anyone here can share their input. My SA told me no need spending to request for non quota bags including c24 and he did ask me if I was interested in ML previously when my quota reset but I was not interested. Anyway I think it’s fake cause when I didn’t have spending I didn’t get offered my mini roulis lol. Then when I got spending randomly ask immediately have bag. Where got so coincidental right. Got to mention I’m also at the bottom of the chain haha. MBS cannot rollover this one my SA told me time and again the past few years I’ve been with MBS H.

Yes that was what I was told by several sa (not mine) that there will be some spending deducted for non quota bag (not just ML).

Not sure what you mean by spending deducted for non qb. Can you explain more about this? Have not heard anything regarding this. My SA told me that getting a non qb will not delay my qb. But anyway the wait is stated at 12 months to manage expectations
