I was trying out at Liat for almost a year+. Not at all for a QB, including the mini Evelyne I was looking for.

Oh wow... I am starting out at liat and this makes me wonder if it will all be in vain afterwards. May I know approx how much you have hit at Liat? I have also seen other people mentioning in the thread that we have to mention to our SA at the start we wish to have a QB.. was this also brought up?

FJs are back in-store ladies. I recall that a few weeks back, there were a few ppl who complained that you had to wait for a very long time for your Kelly Gourmette. @smoothsailor have you picked yours up? I was offered one in-store on 1 Jan. SA said new shipments came in so now there’s zero waiting time for KG, while stocks last. Lots of other fancy blings were available too. I was a little traumatised by the crowd though. So many customers in the malls and in H. I haven’t seen H so packed with parents and kids in a while.

May I know if the new season items are in as well? I am hoping to visit soon, hopefully there are still items in my size and all..

Yes, you are actually given options on what SO you can have after the first SO. The styles are just recommendations from my SA, in the end I decide on which ones. You can also request non QB bags as SO if you are not keen on B/K/C. You can do Lindy, 24/24, Halzan etc....

Hi, can I check with you how long is "a few years"?
I got my first SO after one year and only after one QB of a Kelly bag (k32). The second year, I was offered an SO for a constance and I said yes as well. Please do note that for my second SO offer, it was a surprise that it came so fast. I am not a super VIP but I am a regular client in MBS. I do buy H items every month but my spending is between 1k to 2k a month.
Your SA should be able to offer you a HSS (also called SO) by now.
I got my third SO , a Birkin30 last 2019. And for this fourth one, I was offered a mini Kelly SO. My SA and I have been together for 9 years. My first 3 years, I allowed him to guide me, but nowadays, I just go to the store to buy something that I know I will use or gift to family.
My SA is also sometimes funny, he would message me randomly but usually he has a schedule. And when I send him WA messages, it takes him days to reply back, even weeks, I felt for a time he was ghosting me.
But for QB bags, I don't ask at all. He does know that I deserve 2 bags a year.
I only buy homeware, and SLGs, and once a year watch. That is basically my profile.

Thanks for sharing!! I have been with my SA for 3+ years and have gotten a few qbs from him but not SO. Hopefully i will have better luck this year ☺️

I gather it is the decision of the SM of that particular store to place a wider range of styles for each round of Special Orders hence a very specific SO offer. I have also heard that is in line with what Paris prefers and I believe there's a better chance of the orders being fulfilled and not cancelled. This is also why some SMs worldwide encourage invited clients to consider SOs in styles other than the B/K/C as well. It reflects well on the customer, the SM and the store as it shows an appreciation for Hermes craftsmanship, apart from simply ordering the "triumvirate".

what i have heard is that the waiting list for qbs at liat is super long and depending on whether you are requesting for the popular colour/leather/size, the wait may take at least 6 months to even more than a year.

yes... prices have gone up >10% for scarves, twilly, watches, Fine Jewellery and fashion jewellery

I didn't spend much and was looking out for a SA to work with back then. I started off by requesting a Mini Evelyne as I've pre-spend in Liat already, and this is where my preferred colours (which I gave a wide colour range) were asked and my number was taken. I did ask about a Kelly, but the response I got in return could have been more positive IMO, likely due to the frustrations many people are asking for the same thing. I was shown the door immediately after I collected my bag from spa w/o a chance to shop on my next visit. Even though the gesture was not rude, it did make me feel unwelcome. Anyway, the r/s did turn out well.

I went over to Taka w/o any expectation and was served by a SA. She asked me what I was looking for, so I randomly gave her a wallet + bracelet and of course a mini Evelyne I've been trying for months with no expectation she would inform me. To my surprise, she really put up all my requests and contacted me when the wallet I requested was here. Unfortunately, I was preparing to travel for work, so I couldn't head down to pick it up and have to give it a miss. At that time, I somewhat lost interest in this whole H journey, so I didn't take her messages seriously. In between, I was shopping in airport stores during my travels and chatted with a few SAs. A few good ones I interacted with encouraged me to try working out a r/s with 1 SA in 1 store who can assist me towards getting a bag. This was when I decided to text the SA from Taka and try shopping with her. No harm since she has left me her number. The experience ended up quite well and decided to stay committed to her and work towards my K25 together.

Believe everyone's experiences are all different. And it's all about chemistry and the attitude of the SAs towards receiving new customers on their list. I learned from others that the probable reason why SA didn't make attempts to assist other customers towards a QB could be because he/she has a lot of seasoned/VIP customers on hand who need more attention and couldn't split their time and effort to assist newer customers. Bigger stores like Liat might have a longer list of VIPs, and they cannot reject all sales going to them. It's also given that they will pick and choose when they're at this stage of their career. The r/s needs to be mutual, though it's ok to pop the question I'd think it's always best to find out more from your SA and see how they respond to you. Those who can really assist will monitor ur pre-spend and will give u advice.

Likewise for Taka. Even though I'm towards my first K25, I was told the wait can be a year+ after I hit my pre-spend. Therefore I was advised to provide a wider range of colour choices and try to stick to neutrals which have a higher chance of allocation and the wait won't be too long. It's also true that current season colours are prioritised to seasoned/VIP customers unless they reject or have extra stocks to sell then will offer to newer customers. It's really a hit or miss and depends on where, when and what.

2022 increase is still not that bad but this year... seriously ouch! I hope my salary could increase this much.

Yes, it is also hard to determine whether a SA has a lot of VIP customers, can only be based on luck/certain time. Tbh when I met my current SA, I did mentioned I am looking to build a profile with her but not sure if she did get the hint I am looking to work towards a QB... I have seen others mentioned their relationship with their SA to build profile (like yours), and I really hope I can have this convo with mine too hahaha. Not sure is it okay for me to bring up the topic that I would like to work with her towards one directly & hope she can guide me, during my next visit...

yeah agree with you on the fun experiences and sometimes can get unexpected surprises. YES! I saw the price increase it's crazy. A 90 scarf is $810 now compared to $730 2 days back. Double-faced scarf by $50, not so bad but it's making a scarf at $1,000. Cashmere scarves increase by $200. 2022 was only $50 increased, this year by $200.
