What should I expect as a first-time customer at Hermes? I'm looking at purchasing SLGs soon, so should I book an appointment with an SA prior or just queue up? I'm not really into the QBs but find their designs for the other goods simple and elegant.

If u r not into QB, may I suggest u shop online instead. It could save you a lot of grief since u don’t need to q up and work with an SA who may not reply your msgs. There is a 30 day return policy if the item doesnt work out for u. U would also do other customers a favor by not competing with them for the limited stocks in store.

No offense, it’s my honest opinion.

I would suggest just queueing up but go earlier in the day so that you won’t have to wait as long. Just don’t be too surprised if the SLGs you’re looking for aren’t available.

Just walk-in – ideally during non-peak hours – and ask for someone to assist your shopping excursion, why not? Even if they don't have exactly what you want available that same day, the stores have so many other lovely things available for perusal and purchase.

That being said: If you already know what you want and the items are available online locally, might not be a bad idea to order directly while you can, given how low stock seems to be in general. You can arrange to pick your order up in-store as well.

Congrats! How long have you been waited? Did you specifically request for the Color or you keep the Color open? Is that B30?

I know not all experiences are the same, but just wanted to set my expectation in requesting my first QB :)

I waited for 9 months.

My first choice was Etain with Rose Gold HW, or any dark colours. But RGHW is hard to come by, so I take this when I first saw it cos I love Etain!! Heard Etain and all classic colours like Gold and Black are very hard to come by too!

Yes, it’s B30.

Hope you can get your bag soon too! It’s a long but worthwhile wait!

If you are looking for a specific item to buy in store, you can try calling the customer service hotline and ask to about the item. You can ask to place an order and an SA will contact you once that item arrives (if it can be ordered). This is what a friend did, and she had asked for a calvi.

If you would like to shop in store and browse the offerings, going there early on weekdays would help.

My SA didn’t say the exact pre-spend amount needed but since I read here that it’s around 1:1, so when I exceed 1:1 slightly, I asked my SA if I can put in my wishlist for my B, she calculated and asked me what’s my wishlist! :)

It’s beautiful! I am almost hitting 1:1 pre-spend, just not sure when would be a good time to bring up the topic of QB as I have never mentioned about QB in the previous few visits before.

I’m actually open to any neutral Color and green/blue as long as it is B30. But would that make me sound like I’m a reseller in their eye?
