I have a similar type quilted jacket from a couple of seasons ago (it’s the reversible wool/quilted one w the hood) and can confirm that the outerwear runs about 2 sizes too big; but it’s definitely warm and has gotten a ton of wear up here in our rainy weather! I hope you find your size; this looks like a perfect jacket for you!

Hi all! I’m new to the area and went to the Hermes store here for the first time since I wanted to develop a relationship with an SA. The SA I worked with wasn’t too interested in working with me it seemed like. She told me she only gets 2 bags a year to offer to her clients. Any advice for shopping at this location?! I have a wishlist but not sure how to approach it here.
Hi, the first SA I met I didn’t connect with either. I would make an appointment and try again with another SA. (That’s how I found mine.) There are some really nice not pushy ladies there. Just buy what you love and be interested & patient. This is the crazy time of the year too, so it might be in your favor to wait until after Christmas/New Years so you get a less stressed SA.
I'm sure they are all trained to say that, or some variation, to new clients who ask for a bag right away. I would not be turned off by that, once you start spending they will be nicer to you. If you are willing to spend (2-3:1) and you didn't mind the sa, I would keep shopping with them and I'm sure their bag quota will magically increase

I made a purchase and gave her some items that were out of stock in my size and color to keep an eye out for. Remember it's a business relationship at the end of the day. They all have slightly different styles but they all will help you get a quota bag if that's what you want, depending on the specs and your pre-spend. If you immediately brought up bags without spending they will give you an answer like that. It's one of the most competitive west coast stores if you read these forums but it's not impossible to get a bag. @BreezyE has great advice.
If you’re typically a very direct person, then that SA’s style of communication may not have been a good fit. I’ve read of some SAs who don’t mind being asked about bag wish list on day one and just telling the customer that they can work on building a relationship and others will try to shut it down to try to tamper expectations. That being said, I think SAs are wary (and also weary) of new H customers who ask for bags because it does seem to be incessant…I can only imagine having to say “no, sorry” so many times a day. @bicoastalchic, @BreezyE and @skybluesky have already posted great advice; it is a competitive store with high prespend, but if there are other H goods you like from other metiers, try giving the boutique another experience. Otherwise if it is only a certain bag you’re interested in, resale has been more reasonable in price than the past.

Things tend to trickle in. It'll definitely calm down after the holidays. If it makes you feel any better, my SA hasn't responded to me this month and I'm not in urgent need of shopping (who is at H lol).
When you purchase more things, your SA will learn your style and they'll ask you about what kind of bag you'd like. My SA brought up the topic of what bags I liked but with my previous SA, I brought it up. It just depends on how the conversation organically flows.

I didn’t “click” with my first SA at this store either. They seemed not interested to know if I wanted to make any other purchases except for the twilly I was picking for my friend. I walked in after a couple weeks and met my current SA who was pretty friendly and was willing to source a hard to find item from another store. Interestingly, after shopping with my current SA for a while, the first SA complimented my outfit (of course from H) out of blue. I’m not sure how their attitude can be so different. Maybe they had a bad day when I first walked in. So don’t be so frustrated with the SA’s attitude that much. If it bothers you, you can always switch SA.
As for bags, I didn’t mention any bags until my SA brought it up maybe during my third/fourth visit? Even with my beloved SA, they still implied the QB is super hard to get and I have to be patient. So I can understand why your SA responded to your bag question in this way. Once you build your relationship with your SA, it will get better.
Having seen it, probably no, not a thick jacket, unless you hiked the sleeve up. You'd need pretty small hands and thin wrist to do it.

I went to Paris, trying to get a kelly or birkin but mostly to enjoy Paris. We tried super hard and didn't get one but I did end up getting TWO appointments (one walk in and one lottery on my husband's account the day before we left) and two bags, a mini medor bag in black box with PHW and an in the loop 18 in barenia faubourg in fauve color, PHW.
We come back from Paris and literally ONE DAY LATER, my amazing SA, after 4 years, gave me an offer:
Kelly 25 retourne in caban, PHW. IT'S A YES! Kelly 25 was my top choice and honestly, I thought it was impossible given my lower spend. Especially since I insisted on palladium hardware. But they fought for me and I'm so grateful.
So now I have to decide whether to keep the other two bags... 😅

Congratulations! Caban with PHW is such a nice combination. The other bags have very different style from Kelly. If I were you, I will keep in the loop since this is a great day-to-day bag (unless you already got a picotin).
