Hermes Seattle/Bellevue

Hi, for all my Seattle H lovers… is it safe to carry bags around? I work in healthcare so I don’t get to use my bags during the work week, and I’m tired of leaving everything in dust bags. But I keep hearing about people getting mugged and bags being snatched.

I carry a Birkin or Kelly almost every single day in Seattle. I remain aware of my surroundings and have never felt the least bit threatened either in downtown Seattle or on the bus or....

I wear my bags out and about without concern. I wouldn't wander around at night in the bad areas of town by myself, though, with or without a birkin.

Would you say Bellevue/kirkland is safer to carry then? i feel like even when i go to Bellevue square I don’t see any bags. Waiting to see my first Hermes in the wild 🤪

You can always look up crime rates and stay up to date on Nextdoor.

I don't think Seattle is any less safe than other big cities. Just be smart and aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.

I would argue Seattle is safer because no one knows, but IMO it doesn't meaningfully matter. Use your common sense and be aware like any other western city.

I've worn my H stuff in Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond - I don't think anyone bats an eye.

Thank you everyone! I wore my Birkin out today and you’re right, nobody batted an eye. To be fair, I was up north in lynnwood/marysville and I don’t think anyone knew what it was LOL!

Has anyone been able to put in an SO this year or last? If so, do you ask about it or does your SA just bring it up? My SA mentioned a pause on orders last year and this year we briefly chatted about SO but I’m a little nervous to ask/bring it up again.

Me too! I feel like outside of the store, I don’t get much eye candy. Even at the store sometimes, I wish I saw more Birkins and Kellys! But when I do see them, there really are some BEAUTIFUL color combos out there!
