I’m not sure I fully understand your second question. Old seasonal colors get brought back all the time, there’s no telling which will be brought back when but almost all of them seem to pop back up eventually, even if it’s a decade later. I assume your actual question is “is there a chance that Chai will be on the 2024 SO options menu?” and the answer is yes, there is always a chance.
Thanks the question is if I were offered an SO this year, I assume chai wouldn’t be in it as it’s not a 2023 seasonal color
The current SO choices for the remainder of 2023 are shown here. Chai is unfortunately not a current option. A new selection of colors will presumably be available on January 1st, 2024. There is no reason to assume that chai will, or will not, be on that list. It just depends on what H has available in its leather stock and what they’d like to offer for that year. Not being a “2023 seasonal color” holds no bearing on SO options.

I would say for the first 10 years or so that I started collecting (mid to late 90s), there were very few pinks (unless you count - Rose Dragee??), and then it got a lot better. There have definitely been many more options since then, but that is not say when, if ever, 5P will be back (I am still holding out hope for Parmesomeday…) And further to your point, @r luvs h, based on what you stated here, I just took a look and I really have not seen any (!??!) non-exotic pinks (not counting colors that veer strongly towards orange or purple; I havent seen any straight-up pinks) in the current season. Not even Rose Pop, but I will defer to you on this @r luvs h if you have seen it for AW23.
I try very hard to not focus on one exact color and look toward a range of similar colors. Yes, a 5P bag could trickle in, but it could just as easily not trickle in or, if it does, be offered to you, so unless you would only take that color, I would focus on a range of shades that would make your heart sing
ETA: Correction. I personally saw this bag in Rose Sakura Clemence recently (Although TBH I was told by an SA that it was Sakura Clemence, I wasn’t completely convinced. Note H Madison photos - like with most Hermès boutique shots - tend to skew yellow):

Nope, every month at check out she says “next month!”… just being patient with it. Learning to take every promise with a grain of salt. I’m about 3.5:1 now though…
Anyway I told her last visit I loved the rose pop on display and she was like I don’t like that color, I think a neutral is nicer.
LOL! How is she going to tell you what is better... I hope that's just your SA's opinion and she still gets whatever colour that you want, not what she wants for you!
Just FYI, Rose Pop comes in very limited leathers and only small SLGs.
I recently asked my SA and they said no on chai for 2024. Not sure how it works with SOs but I don’t think we’ll see it
Is 5P the same pink as bubblegum? I see this on color charts as “5P/Bubblegum”. I’m not sure if they’re the exact same but maybe super close? My SA said we will see bubblegum in 2024.

They specifically said bubblegum to me so I added it to my wishlist! After more research I do think it’s the same as 5P.
5P is the color code for “Pink”. The fan base has dubbed it unofficially as “Bubblegum” since pink is so ambiguous. To H, it is 5P or Pink.
