You could wait until 2024, but I will warn you that Hermès is not releasing or re-releasing pink shades as often as they used to, so you may be waiting a few seasons before coming across something you love. The big pink for Mini Kelly II right now is Rose Pop in Chèvre, though it is probably brighter than you'd like. Out of the other colours you mentioned, you will probably have the most luck with Mauve Sylvestre. Good luck!

I would say for the first 10 years or so that I started collecting (mid to late 90s), there were very few pinks (unless you count - Rose Dragee??), and then it got a lot better. There have definitely been many more options since then, but that is not say when, if ever, 5P will be back (I am still holding out hope for Parme

someday…) And further to your point, @r luvs h, based on what you stated here, I just took a look and I really have not seen any (!??!) non-exotic pinks (not counting colors that veer strongly towards orange or purple; I havent seen any straight-up pinks) in the current season. Not even Rose Pop, but I will defer to you on this @r luvs h if you have seen it for AW23.

I try very hard to not focus on one exact color and look toward a range of similar colors. Yes, a 5P bag could trickle in, but it could just as easily not trickle in or, if it does, be offered to you, so unless you would only take that color, I would focus on a range of shades that would make your heart sing

ETA: Correction. I personally saw this bag in Rose Sakura Clemence recently (Although TBH I was told by an SA that it was Sakura Clemence, I wasn’t completely convinced. Note H Madison photos - like with most Hermès boutique shots - tend to skew yellow):

Beyond the classic colors (noir, etoupe, and gold) every color is technically a “seasonal” color. These colors come and go at Hermes’ whim and often in differing leather types which lends itself to exclusion/focus on certain product lines. Regardless, 5P made a brief come back in 2021 but is not current today in 2023. There is a non zero chance that a 5P K20 randomly arrives to your store but it would have to be an outstanding order that the store made at podium in 2020/21 and had yet to be filled. (Theoretically your SA could check if this were the case, though I don’t think it’s easy or available to all SAs.) The bag would arrive with a 2021 stamp as it would have been manufactured in 2021 and then hung out in warehouses somewhere. If it’s not clear, this is very unlikely to happen. Recommend you continue looking for other pinks that could satisfy or prepare yourself to wait for another random unpredictable rerelease of 5P in Epsom.

So I guess if there's a color you love, the lesson is that when its offered, you'd better go for it.

Yep! There was no pink for regular leathers (unless you count Poudre/Beige-Rosé) until 2006 when Rose Dragée and Rose Shocking were introduced. However, there were a handful of pinks available for exotics before that time.

Looking at my records, Rose Sakura is the only really true pink for regular leathers currently. I have seen it in both Swift and Clemence this year, but definitely no Chèvre. I have not seen much Rose Pop for AW23 either, but I presume that’s mainly because it only comes in Chèvre Chamkila.

When I was in Paris this June I asked about 5P. I was told there’s a new pink coming out this Fall. I wasn’t told anything further so not sure if it’s anything close to 5P or not. Maybe someone here has more intel.

Only certain items are made in each leather. Since Rose Pop is only in Chevre Chamkila, it will be limited to items that are made in Chevre Chamkila, namely mini Kellys, and some SLGs (ie won’t see it in birkins or larger Ks).

I have seen Rose Pop since 2022 (also only for Chèvre Chamkila to my knowledge). I think acrowcounted may have meant that Rose Pop is being heldover for AW23-- that is what I was trying to say at least. Apologies for any confusion!

Very helpful!Though I'm not much of a pink fan myself, I know many people have been asking for new pinks and purples, so I would be happy to see that. Even if we don't see a new pink shade for AW23, sometimes colours are "pre-released" to certain markets, so maybe we will see a SS24 pink introduced soon? I will certainly keep my eyes peeled.
