Exciting! I live in Scottsdale too. Are there any updates on the progress of the store? Last time I visited, I did see them under construction, but there was no indication that it was going to be an Hermes store. Any official word?

you also had a HOT croc kelly that i hope went to a good home! :crybaby: i'm sorry i couldn't put out 17K for one of those babies! ;)

but i did manage to get birkin #2 out of the 35 birkins so i'm not complaining :p mljones the other charlotte folks have seen it WAY too much, now they are telling me to get another bag! enablers ;)

back on topic, i hope they have 30+ birkins so you scottsdale ladies can grab them! can't wait to hear about the opening! :nuts:

*sigh* Patience really is a virtue... Well, if we have to wait until 2008, we have more time to save... Right? right?
Of course, in the same year, BV is opening in FSq. So, there will be two grand openings to get me into trouble.

I think they do this just to torment me.

Yep we do have more time to save! I have been hearing of a lotta rumors of new stores opening in 2008 from sales persons at fashion square (some pretty big ones like ferragamo, etc.) 2008-2009 will be a great year for scottsdale! just wait when hermes, bottega and barneys all open in that year.

Azcentral.com says that a Ferragamo boutique will open in Scottsdale Fashion Square at the end of July.

Is there any update on Hermès? I keep hearing yes, but the location and date seem to vary.

Does anyone have any updates? Also, what other stores like Hermès are supposed to open in Scottsdale/Phoenix?

The first hint I had at Hermes opening was Macerich's website of Fashion Square's layout was updated with Hermes; however, it was removed a couple months later. From then on, I've seen no confirmation that Hermes is opening. There have been articles in WWD that Hermes is close to opening in Scottsdale, but still no confirmation. I'm pretty sure they are looking at the ex-Brentano's Bookstore location next to Neimans, but it still seems un-confirmed.

Other stores that are coming to Fashion Square at Ferragamo (2007), Bottega Veneta (2008), Armani Exchange (2008), and Puma (2008).

Thanks for the update.

I heard earlier this year that Bang & Olufsen is supposed to move into the ex-Brentano's store. Bottega Veneta is supposed to move into the old B & O store and Caché Luxe. If I remember correctly, the B & O move was scheduled for May 2007. Obviously, that hasn't happened. I'm wondering if something else isn't in the works there. Hopefully, it's Hermès.

How do you know about Puma and Armani Exchange? It's really disappointing that it's an Exchange store and not the real thing or even Emporio Armani. There was an Armani Exchange in the mall before, and it didn't make it.

Any other rumored stores?

The ex-Brentano's space is divided into two parts. Its currently 5000 or so square feet. I believe 1300-1500 sq ft or so are blocked off to make room for B&O to move and the remaining 3500 sq ft is reserved for Hermes.

I don't remember A/X being in fashion square any time within the last decade or so, but it was confirmed back awhile ago. Their consulting agent's website:

I believe Macerich is currently wooing Giorgio for Biltmore.

Puma was also confirmed a couple months ago.

That ex-Brentano's store does seem very big for just a B & O. That is the best location for Hermès in my opinion.

A/X was located in the space now occupied by NM Kids. It probably closed around 1995.

I think Giorgio Armani would be a better fit in an air-conditioned mall, but I'd just be happy to have one in Phoenix!

I have also heard that Chanel, Prada, and Dolce & Gabanna are opening at some point.

Manolos, please keep this board updated!! You have great information.

Apologies for bumping this thread but there's a possibility that my husband and I might be making the move from Paris to Scottsdale in the future! And while I can handle the heat, I've grave concerns regarding shopping potential! Is there an Hermes?! or even a Prada?! I must say I was slightly disappointed with the Neimans at Fashion Square Mall but am pleased to see that Barneys is coming! Do any local gals have any more info on Hermes and Scottsdale?! TIA
