Scarves Hermès Scarf Identification

Hello! I would be grateful if someone could help me identify this scarf. The person who gave it to me received it as a client gift from an investment banking firm maybe in the 1990s or 2000s. I am pretty sure it's authentic but would love to know the name of the scarf, when it was issued, and if it was sold to the general public at all. Thanks in advance for the help!

Are you asking to list it?
It's a regularly issued scarf named Soleil, from early 2000's.

Great, thanks so much! :D I had no idea. I don't have any plans to list it at the moment. Just trying to better understand the background of the scarves I have in my possession. I only recently learned about this invaluable source of information!

Just a reminder that you cannot discuss items you are thinking of selling, or enquire as to whether or not items are for sale ...:smile1:

Thanks for the reminder, mistikat. After responding to some posts just to see the posters list the scarf/shawl on eBay a few days later using the same photos, I kinda felt like being taken advantage of (hence going forward, I have to ask if the poster plans to list)...

I do understand. But if you are concerned you can report it and let a mod deal with it. :flowers:

Can someone please identify the colorway of this shawl and if it is cashmere, 140 Dip dye or other silk format? It looks like Concours or Etriers but hard to see. Thanks!

Thank you seton! Hard to believe this is the blue Colorway! It looks so light in this photo.
Lanit,
It's actually a colorway with white background with mint, mauve, and bronze details. Just saw it on eBay recently.

The cw looks to be a CSGM cw of Etriers BUT ....

The photo is too crummy to tell and it might also be a fake

I was intrigued by all of this and went looking , here is an Ebay auction

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-H...98067?pt=US_Scarves_Wraps&hash=item19f661f833

The auction has more crummy photos ...

The photos are still too poor to say whether this is authentic or a fake, but yes, I was correct about it being a CSGM cw of Etriers

I noticed how thin the cashmere is, the design shows through from the other side in the first photo

I agree the photos are blurry.
I'm not surprised. White shawls are notorious for being thin and see-through, take this season's Zebra shawl for example, at first when I folded I thought I made a stain on the shawl while wearing it, but turned out it's the black feather details. Gasp, even my grey ones (Instruction du Roy) are thin too. But let's not go into the saga about recent cashmere quality.

I've owned this shawl now for almost 6 years - bought it at the Paris sales. I've never known its name and would love to do so.

I love the rich colors, and especially the bits of turquoise.

Where's Seton when I need her! She knew EVERYTHING about scarves/shawls!
