My mom sent this scarf that she's had since I was a child (I asked her if I could have it). Although I wouldn't usually choose such a traditional theme it's a family scarf as my aunt gave it to her. I believe it's never been worn. Any info on its age or designer would be hugely welcome! Thanks!

BTW about Memoire: some have the note on the right, which was later substituted with a picture. (They did not have the copyright to use the note.)

You're right Jahna ! I never noticed this ! Mine is the first 1992 issue and has the note, which is a drawing made by the french poet Jacques Prévert, dated September 19, 1957.

Hi Seton, I am just going thru my vintages and playing with my Vieille Marine. I remembered the seller told me it was from the 80s not sure if you can confirm it just from my photos. Caretag has long gone. There is no copyright sign on it, or I probably missed it. Thanks so much for satisfying my curiosity

from what i can tell from ur pix only, ur scarf is old - like 50 yrs old.
I seriously doubt it's a reprint from the 80s.
