Hello! I'm hoping someone can tell me a little bit more about my recently acquired Hermes scarf. It's a Bride de Cour by Francoise de la Perriere with the burgundy, green and gold color way, like the one in this photo:

https://www.onekingslane.com/product/14285/872888?f=search_guest

Obviously, I know the name and designer, but I was hoping someone might have more information about the year it was released. From what I can gather, this style has seen many colorways through the years.

Thanks so much!

it was first issued in 1969. As u say, it has seen many colorways thru the yrs.

Welcome to TPF. :smile1:

I know this is for identifying Hermes scarves, but I am trying to locate a pattern depicting elephants in a line holding tails/trunks. I have a print bangle in this elephant pattern, and cannot find the matching scarf(if there is one?). My bangle is in a red colorway.
Many thanks for any help.

I vaguely remember the bangle you are referring to. If you had a pic, it might jog my memory more.
Right now, I think it does not correlate to a matching scarf design but like I said, something might jog my memory if I saw it again.

Hello aml653 - welcome to tPF! Congratulations to a beautiful scarf!

I would also like to know when this scarf was issued. seton and/or someone else, do you know anything more about this?

According to luxury-scarves.com Bride de Cour was issued 1969 and reissued 1987/88. Judging from the placement of the copyright mark this scarf might be from 1969. On the site from One Kings Lane it says the scarf there is from 1980s, but it isn’t necessarily true. The copyright mark usually was placed in another way in the 70s and 80s. If your scarf has a care tag, the design of the tag helps when judging the time when the scarf was issued.

Maybe I am a nerd indulging in things like these, but so what!! I like it! :smile1:

I am not sure what more you would like to know?

It has been issued more than 1969 and 1987. I vaguely remember seeing it in a mid to late 70s magazine or catalog. Bride de Cour means "court harness".

You are right that the linked scarf is not a 1987 one. 1987 one would have the modern copyright.

Thank you very much for your answer seton! This is good information. :flowers:

Thanks for the information! There isn't a care tag on the scarf, so unfortunately that won't be any help.

Now I'm just browsing the forums to find out the best ways to wear it!

as i mentioned before, here is a pic of Bride de Cour in a 1975 World of Hermes catalogue. Proof that it was reissued in the 70s.

seton - you are the best! The picture is interesting to see. Catalogues are gold mines. I guess you are lucky to own/have access to them.
Thank you for your post and the picture!

Would someone please direct me to the appropriate thread? I am looking for a silk scarf, it may be Tarot, or was there a scarf called Mde Coeur? I saw it here somewhere, maybe last season? Any direction will be appreciated, and sorry if I am in the wrong place. Best
Bonnie
