I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question. But does anyone know if Noel au 24 Faubourg was ever produced in this colorway? I have a feeling no, but thought I'd double check. Thanks very much!HER176882_1_enlarged.jpg

Thank you to both of you ladies. I was looking at the scarf as a gift.. but, more info was needed. I appreciate the input .

That looks like a cotton pareo to me, rather than silk mousseline. It has the stiffness of the pareo rather than the spare of silk...but as to the rest, I don't have a clue.

I have a question I am curious about. Does anyone know if H ever produces a different format of a scarf currently in production to give as VIP gifts?
Hermes has done specials forever - they have done lots recently in the mens collections for events If you can find a laminated tag, press release or if H acknowledges then you know for certain ... small chance of that
Otherwise, I dunno
Used to be it was easy to declare something a fake - H never did it in that size or fabric etc But that is no longer an acid test
Also, if a special is in a novel size, then they redid the screens / printing process, I would expect minor differences with the original size, so micro differences are also not an acid test anymore
They use all sorts of unusual care tags for specials so that is not an acid test either
They use unusual fabric blends and weights
The specials often lack inscriptions anymore
I would say that establishing provenance for a mystery special would be hard without documentation ie a press release
If you find one at resale for $50, it is worth a shot, but if the reseller claims it be special and wants $700 ... hmmm ... too many fakes look like specials anymore

Yes- you confirmed my thought process entirely on this idea. As you say, if there are special releases out there of scarves that were in known production in a certain size and aren't the size or fabric...boy does that make for some difficulties. Ahhhh H...the curveballs and shenanigans....

So glad to see you posting some here! I hope all is well!

You used to be able to authenticate on one criterion alone, ANY ONE of the following:
- Never done in THAT size = FAKE, now real ones come in novel sizes
- Never done in that cw = FAKE, there are special order cws
- Never done in that fabric/ weight/jacquard = FAKE , gee they invent a new fabric/weight every season, eg the 140cm CARRE CLUB was that in twillor plume twill hard to remember .- And the CC special is an easy one, what about the PALM SPRINGS special ?..
- Any caretag but such & such is fake - cf Maison de Luxe wonderful post on recent variations in caretags
- A laminated (sales) tag had to be such & such , if not FAKE, cf MDL post
- Micro printing differences = FAKE - see orange Turandot thread
I doubt there could ever be a 100 % definitive opinion on a pop up/ event special based solely on the scarf, not on additional documents
I think that some recent specials would fail MANY if not all of the tests above
Especially, if you are talking the mens scarves, the rules have never held for those - and there have been a ton of mens pops ups in recent years

Hi H friends,

My SA showed me this current season’s twillys but I couldn’t find anything that I liked. May I please ask for your H expertise to give me some nice twilly suggestions that will match my bags? I would really appreciate it.

Specs are GP30 Gris Asphalte Vache Country PHW and B30 Gris Etain Togo RGHW.

I did see this twilly online a year ago that I think is so pretty but don’t know where I saw it nor its’ name. Please assist me with identifying it. My SA says its’ from a past seasons but he couldn’t identify it himself.

BFC55178-F42B-4C44-97C5-6229ACCFB76E.png Does anyone recognize this design?
This is the only screenshot of this “chiffon” I was able to capture before the listing disappeared from eBay. Other figures in the design were “Middle Ages” cavalry and elaborate “carved leaves/flowers.”
It would not save to my watchlist and then couldn’t be found again in a search.
I will check again in a few; maybe seller had editing/relisting to do.
