Thank you. The one I got from Europe and Japan has the tag but those from hk have no tag. [emoji27]

There are different styles of inventory tags, the bar coded ones , not the sewn caretags. The most prevalent is the laminated plastic tag, but paper tags are used in some locations around the world. Tags may be removed after sale in some locations, but not always.

Hello, I just purchased this Plumes from a consignment shop this weekend. I see from the HSCI that it was originally issued in 1953 and then reissued in 1999. There is a pic on the site of this colorway but I don't know if it's the 1953 vintage or 1999. Can you help please? Thank you very much!IMG_0809.JPG

I'm not an authority, but what I see suggests the earlier release date. I'm interested to hear what the experts say.

I am not an expert. So we will have to wait for an answer from one of them. Until then I can post what I know about this.
According to Carrés d'art II; Dictionnaire illustré & cote des foulard Hermès the first edition was 1953, and re-editions were 1964 and 1999.
Hermès started to put a copyright sign, like the one your scarf has, on their scarves in 1960-ies. So your scarf must be a later issue than from 1953. In the late 80-ies Hermès started to use the copyright sign that is used today.
So your scarf could be from 1964. If your scarf is a reissue in 1999 from the 1964 issue with this copyright sign, it should also have a modern copyright sign as well, put in a corner or at a side somewhere.
I hope the experts will put everything in order here!

I can only go by your pics and it doesn't help if it's just one and taken from an angle that distorts.

FACT: this lovely sage colorway has been re-issued quite a few times.

FACT: altho noone points it out except me, Plumes has been issued OFTEN since it was first introduced in 1953. Too often to count. ( I would estimate about every 5 yrs from 1953 to 1999. After 1999, it was more often issued in other materials.)

Anyway, just going by what @FlaTiger offered, I can only narrow it down to 70s or 80s (probably 80s). It would help if there was a tag since a 1985 Plumes will have a different tag from a 1988 Plumes, for instance. But without further info, that's all I can offer.

P. S. There is NO possibility it's from the 50s or 60s.

Agree, many designs have been reprinted more times than usually cited in the lists of reissue dates ...
Agree, Plumes was almost constantly reprinted 1953 - 1999
I hesitate to use the term reissue since it generally denotes a reprint after some deliberate hiatus (not available through Hermes) and Plumes seems to have been in the stores and in production for 30 years (no obvious hiatus)

Hi everyone! I picked up this Jungle Love 90x90 from the LAX Hermes store as I was flying out last week. The SA couldn't tell me much about this scarf aside from that it was an older release. Does anyone know when this scarf was released or can shed any light on this scarf? The tag had the ID 001876S 20, Noir/Or/Ivoire on it.

Oh, wow! Seton, MarieTouchet and Holsby - thanks so much for the info on this one. Let me take some better photos and I will include a pic of the care tag. I took the tag off after purchasing because it wasn't sewn on properly (and I also hate them). Having said that, I know the consignment store owner very well and she gets a lot of scarves from a particular South Florida lady who removes all of her tags. She often sews them back on before selling...but very poorly and often in the wrong place....so I wasn't sure that it was even the right tag with the right scarf.

Ok, fair warning....I am NOT an expert. :smile: After doing a bit of looking though, this looks like it is the 2007 reissue although that seems like a *really* long time to have been hanging around the Hermes store.
