What size do u wear? I tried size 34 on gray color but it is still big for me specially the arms and very lose on me
I had the same experience. Expected it to be nicely fitted, especially because the heavy weight of the material felt really good and like it would mold to the body, but still even in a 34 it was oddly loose and bumpy in places.

Strangely I had the opposite problem, I can’t breathe in this! But the arms/shoulder was very loose on me , despite overly tight everywhere else.

I wonder if it’s just on this particular modular piece because the arms can be removed…..let me know if anyone has bought/tried on the polo neck version without removable arms-if sizing makes a difference. I am hoping to do a charge send for that so any help would be appreciated!

PS. And I am so jealous of both of you having the ability to access these pieces easily for try on. My boutique didn’t order a single version of these and other boutiques are not giving them up so easily with transfers  I was only able to try it on on one version and a size too small because someone had bought theirs from another boutique and returned it at mine ☺️

Hi all,
Those of you who have this coat or have tried it on, can you please share thoughts regarding the fit? Is it fitted or does it have bit of a stretch/give? My store doesn’t have it in stock but I’m trying to figure out my size. TIA!

H outsources RTW to different factories. Rule of thumb, their coats come-up big, 'made in Italy' tailoring comes-up small, and other pieces variable. I wouldn't call this a 'coat' coat, so don't size down as one might. If you know your French size in other brands go TTS. For instance, if you're a 38 in Chanel, go for 38.

I have found this to be true as well. I have size 36 in two H cashmere coats and I have a size 40 for H RTW top, 38 pants. I tried on a Chanel dress the other day in a 40 and it fit well. I have to try it on in person for the price and the different fits.

I shared this coat at the beginning of January (post 3,907). It is not fitted, slightly loose, even in my regular size. However, not overly so. It doesn't have stretch and is slightly structured/stiff but will get more soft with wear. I took my regular size (but could have gone down had they offered a size 32).

@spidermann this looks fabulous and I’m hoping to get one too. I’m curious to hear about the fit - did you need to size up or down? TIA!
My sizing is all over the place with H lately. I prefer to wear clothes nonfitted/baggy so for a tshirt and cardigan, my SA gave me size 38. But this coat was the last of two in my store, which were both size 34. It still fit me so I took it (I’m 5’6” and about 117-120 lbs if that helps). I think the other sizes sold out really quickly
The material doesn’t have very much stretch or give, so maybe I would err on the side of tts or bigger ? I could see it being worn oversized and still looking okay. But maybe you can try on other stiffish coats/denim jackets in the store and seeing what size works best.

Some RTW from FSH. I did not manage to take a picture of the lissé purple croc mini skirt he showed me! It was an immediate no and he quickly took it away lol. The vicuña poncho was soft but not noticeably more special than their cashmere. I thought it was cute the first time I tried it on but when I put it on again, I couldn’t get the waist belt right and for $30k euros 😱 I did not think I should have to futz! The black embroidered jacket is also available in cream at Madison and like @880 said earlier, it’s a very boxy fit, and was waaay too big on me. I ended up with just the etoupe skirt out of the stuff he brought me.

Agree with this.

While I do love the H RTW pieces that I have bought, I find it lazy of them to make an embroidered jacket in one size and then try to put various people in it to see who will buy. When I spend at Chanel, my SA will put me in my size and then call the tailor to fit it perfectly to my body. That vicuña poncho or one similar was there when I was in Paris a while back. . .

I actually like the fact that they make a few pieces in very limited quantities in one size only. So the chances of your running into someone wearing the same thing are very small. Assuming of course you were Goldilocks and the piece you tried was juuuust right lol.

This is really helpful, thank you so much!
