Hoping someone can help me out with this. Has anyone purchased this particular jacket? What do you love/not love about it. I have this on hold for a few days at a local boutique while in town. I eyed it earlier in the month but the sizing is a little too big. I can have the arms taken up a little (don’t want it too short) but there is a bit of material just around body. This is a 36. My SA said there isn’t a 34 available. Maybe one size difference isn’t too much? I just don’t want it to be too baggy. TIA for your thoughts.

Sounds like you are trying to talk yourself into a piece that just doesn’t work for you. I’d pass and wait for a different version; H seems to produce something similar to this every season.

The cutting doesn't look like a slim fit to me. You can see the structure of the body is rather wide (even for a 36). So I think even if you size down it may still be "baggy" and might not be the look you are looking for. So really depends on what fit you are looking for. Though I have not seen this one in the store personally.

Thank you both for your replies! I did decide to pass. Texted my SA this evening about it. Although I love the jacket, I will be bothered by the fit. It was too billowy in the back. I actually found a jacket from Theory that is a cashmere blend in a similar style (cropped with a bomber neckline) I decided to purchase at a fraction of the cost. I will keep an eye out for something else at H and asked my SA to text me if there is something that fits my taste.

Thanks for your reply! I also don't mind baggy or oversized but to a limit. I wanted a cashmere bomber this season so happy I came across the Theory one. I bought both the Black and the Navy and both combined were still waaaay cheaper than the H one. It's not exactly the same but close enough

By chance does anyone have this coat? If so what are your thoughts and opinions?

I don’t have it but I’ve tried it in store. The quality is great and it’s nicer in real. However, it’s too oversized for me, even one size smaller was very wide and it has no belt so I would have to add one. + I get the reason they didn’t put a longer zipper but personally I didn’t find that practical in cold weather.
I‘ve tried the coat too and same thing, it was too wide for my waist, it must be very nice with skinny cut pants though.

I just got this coat today but the sleeves needed shortening so I didn’t bring it home yet. Gorgeous coat irl and is generously cut. Runs big. because of the dropped shoulder, the sleeves are wide so you can fit a jacket or a heavy sweater underneath with no problems. I did think about the short zipper in really cold weather but I figured that pairing it with a heavy sweater and long scarf would work. I like my coats roomy and hate belted coats.

Cross posting from the purchase thread. I think I’ve found my space with H rtw - it’s their shirts/sweaters/pullovers. Haven’t been able to try on any of their bottoms or jackets as my store seem to not carry many 36s. Does anyone know what other colors this pullover comes in? (past season colors are ok as well) I think the same one online comes in blanc cassié or vert something. I love how it fits me and can probably get away with wearing these the whole season!




Now on to the dress. I tried to love it but it just doesn’t fit my curvy frame. It looks too big around the waist(?) which make me look boxy. Maybe it would look better with boots? Am I trying to hard to make this work lol? Ugh Has anyone else been able to try this one on? I don’t remember the name as I didn’t take a pic of the tag.

@applebeary , IMO, I went down at least two sizes in almost all jackets and coats this season. I’m normally a 38 in Hermes (40 chanel, dior) and even this season‘s size 34 trench/ raincoat, that I ended up buying, ran super large. For those here that are really petite, I’m not sure any amount of tailoring will help.
