Yeah, I originally ordered my SO Kelly 25 with the 105 strap for that reason. Now I am waiting for a 75 strap to have an extra short option as well.

I don’t like the Sangle straps personally just because I find them hard to match with outfits, but that is my personal preference.

Finding an inexpensive option on Etsy or similar is certainly fun and a good starting point.

Good to know there are so many options for SO strap! I agree that Sangle straps in canvas is hard to match outfits as it has a more casual vibe, not as versatile compare to the leather strap. And I agree etsy would be a more economy way to try out different lengths and styles lol

I am 163cm tall and cannot wear the 85cm strap cross body. I ordered a 105 cm, wider canvas strap from Hermes for that purpose (also to wear the K32 more casually). Here’s some pictures to compare. Unfortunately they are not very clear but hopefully it shows that, with both straps, the bag hits the same spot on my waist/hip. The pic with shorts is with 85cm shoulder carry and in leather jacket 105cm cross body. HTH.

ETA: To answer OP question, I spend so much on the bag, I figure I might as well spend a bit more on original parts. I chose black also so that I can wear it with other bags (eg. the future dark blue Bolide 30). I think, unless you’re aiming to change the look dramatically with different or pattered straps each time -and therefore getting a few-, it’s worth getting one directly from Hermes. I ordered the strap and it took 6 months.

Thank you so much for sharing. You look lovely in both pictures and I love the K32 cross body look on you. Interesting comment to how both size straps hit at the same spot when worn on one shoulder and then cross body. Your advice is very helpful and I agree it is worth getting one from H for the reasons you mentioned.

Your pictures do illustrate what IMO is the ideal length for bags to hang.
I get your point about original parts, especially in matching leathers. However when Hermes introduced its range of special woven straps a few years ago it did open the door for a wide range of aftermarket straps from other sources. These do enable us to experiment with length and styles before committing to the costly Hermes offerings.

This is my rationale too. I did buy from Etsy at first, I bought several actually but then realized I'd rather get the Hermes straps. For medium sized bags, I prefer the wider 50mm to distribute the weight more evenly. For smaller bags like Bolide 27 or 25, I use the mini-evelyne straps for crossbody wear. For me personally, the Hermes straps are worth the cost.
