Ok. I’ll try to describe this Petite Course bag as best as I can.
Size: about 28 cm in width (placed upright in front of a K28). It’s about 2/3 as tall as a K28.
Strap: nondetachable. One side of the strap is a wheel-like attachment with a Clou de Selle hardware on both sides of the wheel. The strap has 3 holes. The bag can be worn high (pic worn behind the upper arm/armpit), mid chest, and just above the waist. (I’m 5’8). I prefer the mid chest level as in the pic.
Front: convexed shape with a top horizontal zipper with typical H at the beginning of the zipper. The is an arc slit which gives (like an accordion) to further open the bag when the zipper is fully unzipped. The zipper has a leather attachment with a loop hardware at the tip (for a charm maybe?).
Inside: swift leather with the typical H logo.
Back: flat. has a horizontal slit which is a deep pocket lined with swift leather.
Price: 7600 SGD
I couldn’t find the year stamp and i looked hard. The inside of the bag fits my MC2 Euclid card holder and my iphone 14 pro max. It can probably fit one other small thing, but that’s it.
At the boutique I saw another variation of this bag (blue indigo) with a wide contrast-colored canvas strap (pink and blue indigo) displayed in the women’s bag section. I hope this helps.
Fyi… there was a fully crossbody bag in blue Saphir or Indigo with a thick strap. Alas!!! I forgot the name!!! SA said it was Barenia leather and i took her word for it. It had an interesting shape and closure i had never seen before and was not one of the new releases in the collections of recent years. The chaine d’ancre type hardware appeared imbedded in the leather in one side of the bag, but was discontinuous. The bag is closed using a leather loop attached to the other side of the bag, which slides into the break of the hardware. If this bag was in another neutral color i would have probably taken it because I love collecting uncommon H bags.
super cute!

Do they proactively recall or should I bring it in even if it hasn’t broken? Hmmm what to do…
Update from my SA. The bags with the leather straps were recalled. The ones with the canvas straps are fine and were not.
Does @Margot S @sfadman or anyone have updates about the recall? I have a gold one that I’ve used thrice. It’s perfectly fine so I don’t see any reason to contact my SA to enquire about the purported recall.

But if there’s anyone else who’s used the bag heavily and there are batch issues that require repairs, do you mind sharing so the other petite course bag owners can get some heads-up? Thanks much in advance.

No further info. But Hermes stands behind its products. So if you have had no issues I would just use the bag and enjoy it.

I have used mine extensively and wear it on weekends these days - I don't plan on bringing it back in until there is an issue - just seems like if there was an issue it would have happened already....idk what do you think?

i can fit my samsung 21 ultra phone and a calvi...i bought it mainly wanting to use it as a crossbody where the bag would swing to the back but it's to be used more like a bum bag where it's worn in the front. When you swing it to the bag, it kinda tugs on the leather the wrong way...

and not to discourage anyone looking to purchase but after using it a few times...when i was to use it the next time, the screws and the parts fell apart, luckily i was at home when it happened so pieces didn't go missing but i was pretty annoyed that that would happen. it's not hard to screw it back on your own but it's one of those screws you don't feel like it's screwed back on tight, honestly not sure if that's a flaw in the making but i haven't bothered taking it back to the store
i have mentioned about the flaw with the leather strap here...after this happened, i've honestly reached for it less now, afraid that the parts would come apart again.

I have the black one with gold hardware. it is very small and a bit stiff when it comes to fitting things in, but I do love it. Meanwhile, young cockerels wattles will start to grow into pale blue or red lobes that hang down a little. Very sleek and chic. But only for the minimalists. I can barely fit a phone, small wallet and keys. Otherwise it looks and feels amazing.

I told my SA I was interested in getting a new cross body bag and he brought out the Petite Course - was shown in Boxcalf Noir (gold hardware), Epsom Gris Perle, Epsom Noir (wooly strap) and Epsom Gold (wooly strap). The Box version was Devine but I was looking for bags for going out for a casual drink so I went with Epsom Gold with wooly strap. It doesn’t fit as much as I’d like but it’s certainly very chic. Joining the Petite Course club with my new Vert Yucca 💚. I was eyeing The Row banana bag, but I finally decided to go the Hermès way and couldn’t be happier with it! It’s roomier than I expected, and no strap issues so far (worn it non stop for one week already). Thanks for letting me share 🥰

So pretty! I‘m trying to choose between the banana bag and the petite course…

Thank you! 🙏 Do you mean the banana bag from The Row? If so, I was hesitating as well, but since I don’t have any experience with The Row bags and I try to use my items a lot and make them last for years, I ended up going with the Hermès one. I also loved the green color, which played a big part on the decision!
Regarding practicality, The Row banana bag seems to hold a bit more (based on the product measurements), and the slouchy leather looks amazing.
HTH and good luck with your decision! Keep us posted 🤗
