Great description of this bag from Priscila Alexandre Spring in NYT...

Another bag Ms. Alexandre Spring designed, the Petite Course, which means a little errand in French or a little ride, was smaller, more ergonomic — “for a sports car,” she said. “You put your wallet and your keys in it and you go."

i can fit my samsung 21 ultra phone and a calvi...i bought it mainly wanting to use it as a crossbody where the bag would swing to the back but it's to be used more like a bum bag where it's worn in the front. When you swing it to the bag, it kinda tugs on the leather the wrong way...

and not to discourage anyone looking to purchase but after using it a few times...when i was to use it the next time, the screws and the parts fell apart, luckily i was at home when it happened so pieces didn't go missing but i was pretty annoyed that that would happen. it's not hard to screw it back on your own but it's one of those screws you don't feel like it's screwed back on tight, honestly not sure if that's a flaw in the making but i haven't bothered taking it back to the store
Would you be open to elaborating more? Or showing specifically which part this is? Thats definitely a bummer to hear

My SA showed me this bag when I went in this week. I liked it better in person than what I had seen online, but it's not a style that would work for my lifestyle and what I need from a bag.

A lovely quirky option though if all you need to carry is a travel card, a phone and a lipstick! I can see it being good when travelling as the flat nature would allow it to be worn under a jacket or coat easily.

Might I ask what kind of phone you have!? My SA made it sound like a card holder and I was looking quickly. That’s awesome! How would you compare the space to a mini Lindy?
I have 2 mini lindys that I use ALOT. I just purchased a petite course and took it for a spin today. The petite course holds about about 2/3 as much as the mini lindy. The trade off for the smaller size is that it sits very close to the body when worn across the chest. It feels very secure, and it barely feels like you are wearing a bag. The petite course easily held my calvi (fairly stuffed), keys, full size phone with a case and sunglasses. It is narrower on the bottom than on the top but fits more than you would think looking at pictures. Hope this helps.

Thank you! It helps for sure. I’ve seen more than one post or comment about the hardware coming loose. Have you had any mechanical concerns? That’s my worry now I suppose

Edit to add: would you get a mini L or petit course first? I already have a mini E … for like errands and momming around hands-free etc

I have not had problems with the hardware so far. I loved the mini E but I needed a bit bigger bag. I would get a mini lindy before a petite course. The mini lindy is useful in many different contexts and a bit larger.

Thanks! I liked that the PC the pocket fits phone. The mini L pockets on exterior don’t seem good for anything besides an esthetic (or am I missing something?!)

My SA said petit course is a limited run this year - do we know if this is the case? That would be the only thing pushing me to get it sooner since the L isn’t going anywhere.

But I’m trying to be very thoughtful in the bags I pick.. closet can only fit so many haha

The good news is that the PC and the mini lindy do not take up much closet space. You are right about the side pockets on the mini lindy. Pretty useless except for a transit card or small keys. I rarely use them.

I had a mini Lindy but I don't like bags that are too wide - so it didn't work for me. This is also the reason that this year's bags intrigue me - petite course and Arcon - because of their flat structure.

@Margot S thanks a lot, your description helped a lot.

@San2222 that is really unfortunate - maybe do take it back to the shop at some point? It does look very pretty from your pictures.

haha enabler … you make a point!

This has been my main hesitation with a Lindy (I’ve been trying on mini L and L26 many times and trying to decide if I’ll like them long term… but they are soft which helps)

I also am intrigued by the arcon bag but only would be interested in the small size (if it exists?) the big one didn’t seem to suit me

I hope you enjoy your bag so soon!!

do any of you have a pic of what you can fit inside this bag? I bought it online and have it at a relative's house - I am not sure if I want to keep it and I won't be able to see it before the return period lapses. I need some basics to fit, otherwise I won't use it
- phone, small powerbank, calvi, airpods ...
I have this bag in the tan I haven’t used it yet but it’s bigger than you think ! Easily you can use on shoulder or cross body or bum bag if that’s your thing 😂 you can get iPhone keys wallet and change purse in it ! Put it this way you can get more in it than a long Kelly wallet or a long Constance wallet or Gigi I can confirm that 😊the wallet part expands out like the in the loop phone cover to go wink 😉hope this helps
