The scarves and shawls that are offered tend to be from a few seasons ago.

Yes, it might be a random mix, I’m attending the sale for the first time so it will be a surprise what the offerings are. I hope people will remember to inspect their purchases thoroughly, because as I’ve understood the items on sale are not necessarily guaranteed to be pristine and I confess I never inspect my shawls in detail until home.

Which day will you be attending the sale, or both? I am going too, exciting!

Hello, could someone tell me if bags (including personal belongings such as handbag) are meant to be checked in at the reception/entrance? I am travelling on the day of the visit, and wonder if I should take my small carry on luggage with me so I can head straight to the station instead of making another stop back at the hotel.
There are also storage lockers at the train station(s) that you can use.

If you're planning to buy scarves it's a good idea to check them out because I've come home from the Paris sales to find an "S" stamp in a very prominent location, especially on scarves with the tags located on the sides rather than a corner. Happy hunting to those going to the sale!

Thank you, I thought they put the S under the tag but good to know it can be anywhere...

Yes, I’ve had to put back a shawl or two at a sale because they had some bad pulls. Please do check them carefully before you buy! Have a great time!

When you enter the PdC you turn left and ascend the escalator to the first level you will see security, but I'd expect you will see the line of people so you wont get lost.
If you arrive before the PdC opens, there might be a stampede of H fanatics running from the doors to the H-sales. Good luck to everyone. :D
Since ill be in Paris for a couple days are there any other shops/department stores that might have sales worth visiting?
It depends on what you're looking for, but since the sales in Paris are regulated by law, most stores in the city that have some kind of sales will start from the 8th, with the better selection in terms of sizes etc. earlier during the sales and steeper discounts, but worse selection later. If you're just looking for big brands, I also think the big department stores are the best and most convenient places to shop, if you can deal with crowds. It's possible to do Bon Marché, Printemps and Lafayette in one day, the latter two are right next to one another. .

If you want to shop for regular items at Vuitton, Chanel or Goyard, you'd be better off going to one of the stores as there are regularly lines of tourists inside the department stores for these brands.
