I didn't have a good experience at the Palo Alto boutique (SA didn't seem interested to help me despite me having an appointment with them) so I switched and went to SF. I've had a much better experience in SF vs. Palo Alto. SF is also considered a flagship store, so theoretically the stock would be better there than PA.
PA hired several new SA’s recently so it might be worth giving them another try. My SA from Gucci (Rianti) now works there and my SA from Louis (Holden) now works there too. Rianti is very professional and has good follow up and Holden is super fun to shop with and has great taste. Jerad is also a former SF employee who moved to PA.

The stock in San Francisco is not better or worse than Palo Alto. Most of the top floor in SF is furniture. San Francisco has more clients and more employees all competing for the same bags so it’s about the same.
The PA SA’s are great IMO but they are like the popular kids in school. They aren’t going to hook you up just because you ask. You have to work to get in with the “in crowd” but once you are there they will take good care of you.
Interesting take! what would you say works to get in w the "in crowd"?

You have to make them like you. I think it you visit regularly and you make an effort to treat them like one of your girlfriends they will open up to you. Everyone’s journey is different so it’s important to not compare your experience to others. Bringing up offers to other clients is a big taboo in H culture. I have always been a big believer in bringing food or coffee for your SA because it’s a good way to get them to like you.

Hi, I'm SF based but my office is closer to the PA store. I prefer the PA store for location and overall it seems more relaxed to me at least during the week when I go after work. SF always seems very busy to me and when I am working in the city I am mainly using MUNI to get around or walk. I don't disagree with the SF having more stock, and I have oftentimes walked out of the PA store without finding what I want.

But I do enjoy my time at the PA store - we chitchat talking about life stuff like where to eat, vacations, movies, etc. This is my experience during the week, I usually leave work a little early to go to the store. I'm sure it's a totally different experience on Saturdays!

Palo Alto is just a different experience for me compared to all other H Stores. The SA’s are so cool here and they really make each visit memorable. Sometimes I think PA gets a bad rep because they don’t tolerate bad behavior. If you are nice I think you can expect the same treatment in return.

Hi there! Any tips on making a good relationship with Holden? I have an appt with him coming up. My only purchase history is in Paris but I wanted to start a relationship here and really want a K25!! Any tips you have would be appreciated ;)

Holden is a great SA in my opinion. He’s very friendly and attentive. Regardless of which store you shop at you will definitely need to spend if you want a K25. Buying jewelry and ready to wear is usually the quickest way to a quota bag at most stores.

Thank you! Looks like they keep moving my appointment around and switching SAs on me so not sure who I’ll end up with. Any idea what the spend ratio has been lately in PA?

What’s the best way to build a relationship with Jerad? I have an upcoming appointment with him.

I think the required spend will vary depending on what you are looking for. The Bay Area (Palo Alto and SF) is very competitive because there is so much wealth. If you wanted a gold B25 you’d likely have to spend more than if you were looking for a bright color. I would plan on at least a MINIMUM of 2:1 for either Palo Alto or SF. Ready to wear, jewelry, watches and home are they keys to getting a bag in my experience. Buy things that you love that you are going to enjoy.
